Werder Bremen vs. Eintracht Frankfurt Betting Preview – Bundesliga, June 3

Werder Bremen looks to continue its great escape efforts by picking up more points from this rearranged game with an Eintracht Frankfurt side that is perilously close to the relegation places itself.

This rearranged fixture from matchday 24 is a great chance for both sides to use their game in hand to pull away from the bottom of the table. The BetOnline sportsbook sees the game as just about even, but Werder Bremen has looked much sharper since the Bundesliga resumed play, so a home win might be of interest.

Werder Bremen is three games unbeaten and has only lost once since the Bundesliga started up again last month, so now is the perfect time to use the game in hand to give itself a chance of staying up. The league position may not have changed but a win here would pull Bremen out of the bottom two.

Leonardo Bittencourt scored the only goal at the weekend as Werder Bremen overcame a free-falling Schalke away from home and the result was no more than the visitors deserved. Confidence is obviously high in the squad now and there is more than a glimmer of hope that Bremen’s top flight status can be retained this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt has also turned things around after a shaky few games after the league resumed in May. A high scoring draw with Freiburg was followed by an excellent 2-1 win away at high-flying Wolfsburg last weekend that keeps a slight gap between the Eagles and the bottom three.

It took a late winner form Daichi Kamada to confirm that win over Wolfsburg but Frankfurt had been a match for its opponents throughout and had played a typically tough brand of soccer that might be needed in the coming weeks if it is not to get further dragged into a relegation battle. This could be a close game.

Werder Bremen is one of the form teams in the Bundesliga after winning two and drawing one in its last three games. But there is still a lot to do to escape the drop, and that might allow opponents to take advantage of its desperate plight. Frankfurt has been inconsistent all the way through this campaign but might be timing a good run to perfection. I’m tempted by the home win bet here, but the draw seems like slightly better value.
