Group A of the European Showdown stage at the 2020 BLAST Premier event continues today with a very interesting clash between Team Vitality and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
NiP kicked off their campaign with an impressive win over the current World No. 1 Astralis, while the Frenchmen were held to a draw by a battling ENCE display.
The organizations have a long history of rivalry and they last met at the DreamHack Masters event where ZywOo and his guys brushed aside the Ninjas with relative ease.
Are we in for a repeat today? I try to answer this question in my Vitality vs. NiP betting preview for Tuesday by looking at the current odds, team form, and some key stats.
I then provide my betting prediction and a free pick so make sure you stay until the end!

Vitality is deservedly the favorites in my opinion, but NiP will also be flying high after gunning down Astralis and shouldn’t be underestimated.
Let’s move on to my analysis and see where the betting value truly lies.
The Frenchmen continue their quest of entering the elite CS:GO bracket and their fans will be quite happy to see that the team has recently shown a more solid collective effort after months of relying solely on their superstar.
ZywOo will once again be the focal point but recent displays from RpK and captain apEX will give Vitality hope that they can tackle the top dogs when the time comes for the crunch playoff ties.
There are still things on the tactical front for the in-game leader to polish up and I would like to see a more committed effort from misutta and shox but even in their current shape, this organization can be deadly on their day.
Ninjas in Pyjamas
The Ninjas are still gravitating around the Top 10 but recent poor results have stifled their progress a bit. They had a positive run in the ESL One: Road to Rio but their latest roster makeover that saw captain Lekr0 step down has not allowed them to kick on since.
However, the team will take great confidence from the beating they handed to Astralis yesterday against all odds.
New captain hampus had his best game since joining the team and players REZ and nawwk provided the finishing touch. There are still concerns over main man Plopski’s form but if the team can replicate yesterday’s performance more often, I have no doubts that he will come good sooner rather than later.
Vitality vs. NiP Prediction and Pick
This has all the makings of a very dynamic and open matchup. Vitality bested NiP the last time around but today’s format is very different and things can end very quickly if one of the two teams doesn’t show up in the early rounds.
Vitality has the skill and expertise to take down any opponent but now the Ninjas will feel much better about their current roster after beating Astralis.
This tie will depend on who can hit top form the quickest and I feel it will be as one-sided as some of the previous meetings this season.
I believe Vitality’s more collective approach and ZywOo’s form will be enough to seal this but I’m more willing to use the under 26.5 rounds market.
NiP can be dangerous when in the zone and the win over Astralis can certainly put them there.
The odds for a quick game are great and this may well be one of the best options for your esports wagers today.
This is the end of my Vitality vs. NiP betting preview for Tuesday but I have lined up several more predictions for today in my top esports bets post. Be sure to follow the link if you’re interested in where the betting value lies for all the high-profile CS:GO and Dota 2 games this June 2nd!
