Vitality vs. GODSENT Betting Preview, May 12, 2020

The European division of the ESL One qualifiers enters its playoff stage today and my attention turns to the lower bracket where Team Vitality will face off against GODSENT.

The Frenchmen looked decent in the group phase while the Scandinavian outfit was hanging by a thread but a late win against mousesports ensured they have a spot in the playoffs.

My Vitality vs. GODSENT betting preview for today reveals what betting options we can take advantage of and analyzes both teams’ performances so far and the key aspects of their respective rosters.

I then conclude with my prediction and a free betting pick so make sure you don’t miss out on that.

Vitality vs. GODSENT Odds

First, let’s look at the current odds. I’ve chosen Betway as it boasts one of the most diverse esports services out there and you can regularly get odds very early on.

Match Winner

Vitality -250

Maps Handicap

Vitality  (-1.5) +115
GODSENT (+1.5) -167

Maps Total

Over 2.5 +100
Under 2.5 -154

Each and every one of the top rated CS:GO betting sites out there have given Team Vitality an advantage here and that is to be expected.

Can the Frenchmen really hit top form in the playoffs or will kRYSTAL and his guys stage a big surprise here? Let’s move on to my analysis and try to figure that out.

Vitality Team Analysis

The organization was able to clinch 3rd place in Group A which is not a bad feat considering how dominant Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas were.

However, the team also had a lot of lackluster performances down the road and have their main man ZywOo to thank for carrying them over the line.

The 19-year-old has been among the best players in the tournament but even he can’t take down a whole team by himself every time.

Vitality is the firm favorite to make the final from the lower bracket but ZywOo will need at least some support as players like apex and misutaa have been a no-show in most matchups.

GODSENT Team Analysis

After a fine start to the ESL One: Road to Rio, GODSENT hit a very rough patch that almost knocked them out of the tournament.

They were also soundly beaten by all three teams they faced at the Elisa Invitational and their momentum crumbled as fast as a house of cards.

However, we must give credit to them for beating mousesports and securing their place in the playoffs. The MouZ looked like they were slowly getting back to their usual form but GODSENT sent them packing with great performances on Train and Overpass.

They are the big underdogs here and the loss against Movistar Riders in the last group matchup didn’t look good at all but they’ve shown they can step it up when it matters and have every chance of unsettling ZywOo and company today.

Vitality vs. GODSENT Prediction and Pick

The Frenchmen dominated the last tie between these two teams at the ESL Pro League but I feel that there was better chemistry in their ranks at that time.

Currently, it seems that the whole team relies on ZywOo to get the win and while he is certainly capable of doing that on most days, he can’t do it forever. The others need to step up and it’s the perfect time to do that.

Eliminating GODSENT opens the door for a Grand Final appearance here and the team should be pumped up to make a statement.

However, kRYSTAL and his teammates are a very tactical team and they can be a very uncomfortable opponent on most maps. I still think Vitality will win it but I will hedge my bet with the Under 2.5 market here.

It covers both a top performance from ZywOo and his guys, and the kind of surprise GODSENT sprung against mousesports.

This wraps up my Vitality vs. GODSENT betting preview for May 12th but feel free to explore our post on the top esports bets for today as well.
