Triumph Team Analysis

The performance of Triumph in 2020 so far shows some promise, as the team had a couple of good runs in smaller tournaments and also beat Orgless to qualify for the ESL One Road to Rio. It’s been a solid year up to this point, but I’m not sure that Triumph can compete in this tournament.

The level of the opposition will be much higher than what the side usually faces and the opening match against Cloud9 is an excellent test for Triumph’s true potential.

Cloud9 Team Analysis

The recent form of Cloud9 has been strong after the team registered three wins in the DreamHack Qualifiers last week. That comes on top of a solid fourth place in Flashpoint Season 1 that brought the organization $50k from the prize pool.

The ESL Road to Rio is the next big priority and considering the rest of the competition, the match against Triumph might be crucial for Cloud9’s ambitions to progress to the playoffs.

Triumph vs. Cloud9 Betting Pick

  • Cloud9 (-1.5); -114

There’s little doubt that Cloud9 is the better team here and if you add the importance of the ESL One Road to Rio, my prediction is for a clear win for the favorite. If it was a smaller tournament, Triumph might’ve had a chance to trouble the opponent but not here.

The price of -114 for Cloud9 to cover the -1.5 map advantage looks like the best betting pick for the upcoming clash and I’m more than happy to take it.
