Top Daily Fantasy Football Lineups to Use in Week Thirteen of 2020 NFL Season
Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but last week was disgusting in daily fantasy football. I thought the week before was bad, but last week was really a bummer.
This week is quick to suggest things might again be a bit uneasy, as COVID-19 has pushed two extra games beyond Sunday.
It won’t actually impact the Sunday main slate too much, but it’s just another reminded that an already volatile DFS genre is increasingly unpredictable.
That shouldn’t stop you from creating NFL DFS lineups for week 13 in an attempt to make some money, of course.
If you plan on doing so, join me as I break things down and see what some of the best daily fantasy football lineups could be for this week.
Week 13 Daily Fantasy Football Advice
The first thing to keep in mind is the ongoing presence of COVID-19. It’s already messed up the NFL schedule, and any more coronavirus pop-ups will only jam things up further.
Apparently, everyone needs to also pay mind to PED suspensions, as Will Fuller just got slapped with a six-game ban.

This is a big deal for three reasons. First, because Fuller was having a great year and was set up to be a terrific NFL DFS pick for week 13. Also, because his absence could hurt Deshaun Watson.
Third, of course, it opens up some value with guys like Keke Coutee ($3.5k) and whoever else ends up seeing the field for the Texans. Oh, and it probably cements Brandin Cooks as a smash play this week.
I’m sure I’ll get exposure to both in all formats, but without one of their top weapons against a Colts defense that had previously appeared to be elite, the Texan’s offense as a whole could suddenly be a bit risky.
Per usual, you’ll also want to pay attention to game environments and betting lines. I took a look at the early week 13 NFL odds, and you can check my notes for how to bet on each game.
For the totals specifically, here are the games you’ll probably want to focus on this week.
- Colts vs. Texans (51)
- Jaguars vs. Vikings (52)
- Browns vs. Titans (54)
- Rams vs. Cardinals (49)
- Eagles vs. Packers (47)
- Raiders vs. Jets (47)
Some will want to stay away from a couple of these, as some of the betting lines aren’t very friendly to the likes of the Jets and Eagles.
There are also going to be under the radar games that could feature a lot more scoring than expected. One game I’d circle is the Lions vs. Bears contest.
Injuries, although to a lesser extent in week 13, also need to be kept in mind.
Here are a few big names that could potentially impact how we build our week 13 NFL DFS lineups.
- Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
- Daniel Jones, QB, Giants
- Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders
- D’Andre Swift, RB, Lions
- Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts
- Todd Gurley, RB, Falcons
- D.J. Chark, WR, Jaguars
- Julio Jones, WR, Falcons
- Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions
- Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles
I won’t go into great detail as to why each of these players matter, but you’ll want to note how their appearance or absence would change things for their respective teams. Whether they play or not would also create or take away an opportunity from their teammates, too.
Keep all of these things in mind before finalizing your week 13 daily fantasy football lineups, and join me as I piece together my favorite squads for cash games and tourneys.
NFL DFS Cash Lineup for Week 13
- QB: Deshaun Watson – Texans ($7.5k)
- RB: Dalvin Cook – Vikings ($9.5k)
- RB: David Montgomery – Bears ($5.5k)
- WR: Keke Coutee – Texans ($3.5k)
- WR: Breshad Perriman – Jets ($3.9k)
- WR: Davante Adams – Packers ($9k)
- TE: Kyle Rudolph – Vikings ($3.4k)
- FLEX: Wayne Gallman Jr. – Giants ($5.6k)
- DEF: New York Jets ($2.1k)
I have my concerns about Watson beasting out against a talented defense sans his top receiver, but the guy is on fire. For DFS, he’s still shaping up as a chalky play, especially with most NFL betting sites setting this game with one of the best totals of the week.
Watson can run and make up for a slow start, too, so he is a fine play in all formats. Brandin Cooks is the obvious guy to attach to him, but so is Coutee. Houston is now down three receivers they had on the roster when the season began, so these are basically the only guys he has to throw to.
I’ll pay up for two other players on this slate; Cook and Adams. They just have two of the most locked-in roles in NFL DFS, and I also love their week 13 matchups.
Cook gets a Jaguars defense that got abused by Nick Chubb last week, and Adams is pretty matchup-proof in general. Even so, he faces a Philly defense that got tattooed by DK Metcalf.
Those are my top two studs, but even for cash games, we have to get creative and find areas to save some cash.
David Montgomery popped off in his last game and gets a beatable Lions defense, so he’s a solid salary saver with a decent floor. Ditto for Gallman, while Breshad Perriman and Kyle Rudolph are cheap options that actually have really solid roles.
Just make sure Irv Smith Jr. is still out if you fire up Rudolph.
Lastly, the Jets make this all possible.
I know New York is winless, but their defense has registered 8 and 9 fantasy points in their last two games. They also face a Raiders team that just endured one of the worst games ever last week.
New York is just a punt, but they actually may not be a bad try in all formats. You don’t need the best scoring defense for this lineup to pay off, though. You just need to cash.
NFL DFS GPP Lineup for Week 13
- QB: Aaron Rodgers – Packers ($6.8k)
- RB: Austin Ekeler – Chargers ($7.1k)
- RB: Miles Sanders – Eagles ($6.7k)
- WR: Cooper Kupp – Rams ($6.1k)
- WR: Allen Lazard – Packers ($5k)
- WR: Marquez Valdes-Scantling – Packers ($4.4k)
- TE: Jonnu Smith – Titans ($4.1k)
- FLEX: Nick Chubb – Browns ($7.7k)
- DEF: New York Jets ($2.1k)
I’m really glad that Russell Wilson didn’t go crazy on MNF because it could help make A-Rod and the Packers lower owned.
The reality is the Eagles’ pass defense is overrated, and we saw that with DK Metcalf putting up 177 yards on Monday Night Football. He even dropped an easy touchdown, and Seattle weirdly ran a ton in that game.
Green Bay will also run if they’re able to, but Rodgers is set up nicely for another big game. I like a Packers stack in all formats, but I’ll emphasize them in GPPs if their ownership is going to stay grounded.
Of course, as you can see, this GPP won’t just eat the Adams chalk. I think that is still a great idea, but Adams, in theory, has a tough matchup opposite of Darius Slay.
It could be time for Rodgers to spread things out a bit. With MVS as a deep threat and Lazard ready to take on a bigger role again, this could be a fun week to stack this passing game without Davante.
Running it back is Sanders, who was awful on MNF but will see his ownership drop because of it. He still has an awesome matchup in front of him, and I’m sure he’ll rack up yardage against Green Bay’s poor run defense.
Ekeler caught 11 balls as he was “eased” back into L.A.’s offense last week.
His matchup with the Patriots looks solid enough, and he can crush no matter the game script.
I also love me some Nick Chubb. He smashed for my readers last week, and I expect him to do so again. He’s the ultimate tool for the Browns to slow down Derrick Henry, and the matchup is golden.
If you don’t pay for Henry, be sure to roster some guys from Tennessee’s passing attack. I love A.J. Brown, but Smith is the better value. He’s a cheap, high upside play at a bad position, and he has a fantastic matchup.
Kupp is just a great value with elite upside, and you know what I think about the Jets.
Week 13 NFL Betting
You have some NFL DFS lineups for week 13 to use now, and like always, you can do two things; blend these two lineups or just make pivots away from some of my plays.
It’s also possible you can turn my week 13 NFL DFS lineups into some winning NFL betting advice.
If you hadn’t noticed, I’m high on this Packers stack. That doesn’t tell you much about their 9-game spread advantage, but it should nudge you toward the Over in that game.
Chubb is also one of my favorite plays, so you shouldn’t be too shocked to learn the Browns are among my favorite underdog plays in week 13.
I also feature the Jets defense and Perriman, lending logic to the idea that New York beats the Raiders, or at least beats a 7.5-point spread.
There are a lot of things that can align DFS and sports betting, but luckily for you, I separate the advice. For some extra week 13 NFL betting insight, check out my latest content linked below.
