As a general rule of thumb, if you can use strategy when you play a casino game, it gives you a better chance to win than when you play a casino game that doesn’t involve strategy.

The problem with most casino games is that most strategies associated with them aren’t simple. Thankfully, there are a few of them that do have a really easy strategy.

Here’s a list of three casino games that have the easiest strategies to use. You’re also going to learn about a few of the games that offer better odds if you’re willing to use more advanced strategies when you play.

1 – Baccarat

Baccarat is one of my favorite games. It’s the easiest game to teach new gamblers, especially when you want a game with a low house edge. On top of that, the strategy can’t be more simple!

The entire strategy when you play baccarat is to always bet on the banker spot and make the smallest wager amount allowed.

The reason why you always make the smallest wager amount allowed is because if you play baccarat long enough, you’re going to lose. You make small wagers so you limit your losses.

You win always win in the short term when you play any casino game. But in the long term, you’re going to lose just because that’s how the house edge works.

Betting on the banker spot is the best strategy because this wager has a smaller casino edge than when you place a wager on the tie or the player spot.

When you win a bet on the banker spot, the casino takes a commission. But it’s still a better wager than the other options. You don’t have to worry about the commission or how the game is played because the casino takes care of all of that.

2 – Craps

Craps doesn’t look simple, but the best strategy for craps gameplay is easy. You need to ignore all of the available wagers at the craps table except for two or three choices.

If you want the absolute best chance to win, the only two wagers you need to make are a don’t pass line wager and an odds wager.

If you don’t like the don’t pass line wager, you can make a pass line wager and an odds wager instead. This has a slightly higher casino edge than the don’t pass line, but it’s not so much of a difference that you can’t do it.

Just like when you play baccarat, you need to make the smallest pass line or don’t pass line wager that the table allows. But when you make an odds wager, you need to bet as much as the casino allows if you have enough money to do it.

The reason for making a small pass line or don’t pass line wager is because the casino still has an edge. But the odds wager doesn’t have an edge for the casino.

3 – Roulette

The best strategy for playing roulette doesn’t have anything to do with the wagers you make at the table. Once you pick a roulette table to play at, all of the wagers basically have the same casino edge.

So, when you play roulette, the best strategy is all about picking the best table. The best roulette table is one that uses French rules. These tables aren’t available in every casino, so the second-best option is a table that uses European Roulette rules.

French and European Roulette tables both use a wheel that has 37 spaces, whereas American Roulette has 38 spaces.

European and American Roulette wheels

If you see a roulette table with a wheel that has more than 37 spaces, then you ideally shouldn’t play there.

The casino edge is lower on a French wheel table than a European wheel table if you stick with the common even money wager options.

Casino Games With No Strategy

If you have no experience using strategy when you gamble, stick with the three games listed above and use the simple strategies I just covered. When you use these easy strategies, it gives you the best chance to win.

In fact, it gives you a better chance to win (around two times to 10 times better) than when you play casino games that don’t have a strategic component.

When you use the strategies I just covered, the casino edge is between 1% and 2%. This assumes that you can find a French Roulette table. A European Roulette table has a slightly higher house edge. Craps and baccarat both have a casino edge under 1.5%.

Many table games in the casino have an edge of 3% to 5%. This is two to three times higher than the games covered above. Some slot machines have an edge of 10% or higher, and some particular wagers available in the casino, like some of the inside craps wagers, have an edge of 11% or higher.

Before you gamble on any casino game, you need to find out if there’s a technique you can use. You can’t just rely on luck to win at gambling.

If a game doesn’t have a strategy, we’d advise that you shouldn’t play it—unless you’re just looking to have some fun, of course.

Always keep in mind that games with no strategy typically have a higher casino edge than games that have strategy.

If you want to win more often, you have to use strategy when you can. If you don’t use them, it’s the same as gambling on games that don’t have a strategic component at all. You might as well be buying a lottery ticket or throwing your money away at a slot machine with an RTP of 2% or something absurd like that.

Better Games With More Involved Strategy

Now that you know the three of the best casino games to play using a simple strategy, it’s time to learn about the games that are even better than the three covered above but involve using more advanced strategies.

The good news about these games is that the casino edge is less than 0.5% when you use the best strategy. You can even get a decent edge with some of these games.

Video Poker

The best video poker strategy involves three factors. You have to play the correct game, you have to find a machine with the right pay table, and you have to use the correct strategy on each hand you play.

When you use the correct strategy with all three of these factors in mind, you can play video poker with a casino edge as low as 0.5% or even less. Learn about Deuces Wild and Jacks or Better video poker machines to get started.

Learning the correct strategy for each hand you play is easier than you might think. Just get a strategy card for the game you’re playing! It’s that simple. A strategy card has all of the correct plays listed, so you just follow the card on every hand.

Just like video poker, blackjack has a strategy that involves playing each hand you receive in a particular way. You must also find blackjack games with good rules and use smart money management.

Just like video poker, you can get a strategy card to learn what the best plays are. Using a strategy card and playing with good blackjack rules can reduce the casino edge to around 0.25%.

The strategies you use should give you the best possible chance to win when you play roulette, craps, or baccarat. They should be easy to understand and implement into your gameplay. The strategy for these games is so simple that you can literally learn it in under a minute.

When you compare casino games where you can use strategy against those where you can’t, you quickly learn that non-strategic games take your money at a much faster rate.

Once you learn the simple strategies for the games on this page, you can start learning how to play games that require a little more skill. These games give you an even better chance to win than baccarat, roulette, and craps combined.
