The Top 10 UFC Fights to Bet on in June 2021

I’ve scanned June’s MMA calendar and picked out the best UFC fights to bet on in June 2021.
The month is jam-packed with top-tier talent and some solid examples of clever matchmaking. But most of all, it has some key bouts to wager on in the UFC that could win you some money.
Let’s kick off this list of unmissable fights in the promotion this June with a big-time clash in the heavyweight division.
UFC Vegas 28
- When: June 5, 2021
- Where: UFC APEX, Las Vegas
- Main Event: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai
The next big UFC fight goes down on June 5 between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai.
The two towering heavyweights will lock horns in the main event of a chunky night of fights at the UFC APEX in Vegas.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Augusto Sakai
I recommended playing it safe on this one in my predictions and pick for Rozenstruik vs. Sakai.
Still, the main event of UFC Vegas 28 makes my list of the best UFC fights to bet on in June 2021. So make sure to consider it for your list of fights to target, even if you end up passing on any wagers.
A heavyweight clash between two dangerous fighters coming off losses, Rozenstruik vs. Sakai, really could go either way.
Rozenstruik brings some fierce kickboxing into the cage on the night. The Surinamese fighter will be looking to fight his opponent from the get-go and be confident of scoring a knockout. I’m not so sure Sakai will be as easily put down as Junior dos Santos, however.
Sakai is not a specialist, preferring to fight with a pretty rugged but effective style that sees him incorporate abrasive striking with solid BJJ.
This fight could be an explosive spectacle or one of the most attritional scraps the heavyweight division has seen in some time. But what I’m more confident of is this bout’s status as one of the top UFC fights to gamble on this June.
Walt Harris vs. Marcin Tybura
There’s another heavyweight tear-up at UFC Vegas 28 coming our way.
If betting on heavyweight fights is your thing, you might be keen to get your wagers down on this one. Harris vs. Tybura slots in as the co-main event of the evening and will be a very interesting prospect.
As you can imagine, this one will attract a lot of action, as it is one of the best fights to gamble on in the UFC this June. The oddsmakers favor Tybura, but I have opted for the American in my predictions and best bets for UFC Vegas 28.
That is despite Harris being on a two-fight skid.
Still, I see this one as very winnable for “The Big Ticket,” who has suffered two straight TKOs on the bounce. Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov have left stains on his record, but it’s not too late for him to turn things around.
Conversely, Tybura rides a four-fight streak into the Octagon. The Pole is sitting pretty right now and could campaign for a title shot if he can dispatch Harris with style.
I’m looking forward to seeing who wins what should be one of June’s best UFC fights to bet on.
UFC 263
- When: June 12, 2021
- Where: Gila River Arena, Glendale, Arizona,
- Main Event: Adesanya vs. Vettori 2
Now, this is a fight card worth waiting for.
In terms of the biggest and best UFC fights to bet on in June 2021, it doesn’t get better than a middleweight title clash between Izzy Adesanya and Marvin Vettori.
Adesanya beat “The Italian Dream” by way of a split decision back in 2018 and will be looking for a repeat performance in what will be the third defense of his crown.
There are another three major fights to look at on this card. I’ll get to those after we cover the big one.
Three 5️⃣ rounders can't come soon enough.

Israel Adesanya vs. Marvin Vettori 2
This is the top UFC fight in June to bet on, by some distance.
Despite failing in his quest to win the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 259 in March, Adesanya is still a superstar. He’s back down at middleweight now and will face a very stern challenge in the form of Marvin Vettori on June 12.
The Italian has picked up a solid win over Jack Hermansson and a dominant beat down of Kevin Holland and has shown no desire to slow down just yet.
Among the top UFC bouts to bet on in June 2021, this could also be a fight-of-the-year candidate.
Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno 2
Speaking of the best UFC fights to bet on in June, the Figueiredo vs. Moreno rematch is up there with the most anticipated of them all.
Figueiredo, the UFC flyweight king, was given a tough time of it the first time he faced Moreno back in December, managing a draw.
Six months later, the Brazilian will be looking for a more commanding performance against his Mexican opponent.
Deiveson Figueiredo’s Last Ten Fights | ||
---|---|---|
Brandon Moreno | Draw | UFC 256 – Dec 12, 2020 |
Alex Perez | Win by Submission | UFC 255 – Nov 21, 2020 |
Joseph Benavidez | Win by Submission | UFC FN – Jul 19, 2020 |
Joseph Benavidez | Win by TKO | UFC FN – Feb 29, 2020 |
Tim Elliott | Win by Submission | UFC FN – Oct 12, 2019 |
Alexandre Pantoja | Win by Decision | UFC 240 – Jul 27, 2019 |
Jussier Formiga | Loss by Decision | UFC FN – Mar 23, 2019 |
John Moraga | Win by TKO | UFC FN – Aug 25, 2018 |
Joseph Morales | Win by TKO | UFC FN – Feb 3, 2018 |
Jarred Brooks | Win by Decision | UFC FN – Oct 28, 2017 |
I’m really looking forward to seeing this one go down in Arizona on June 12. Like Adesanya vs. Vettori 2, it has the makings of one of the top fights of the year and just so happens to be in such close proximity to that middleweight title clash.
If you’re taking notes on the best fights in the UFC to bet on this June, make sure this ends up near the top of the list.
Leon Edwards vs. Nate Diaz
England’s Edwards has a huge chance of getting some well-deserved respect when he squares off with Nate Diaz at UFC 263.
Edwards has been knocking on the door for a title shot for some time now but just hasn’t managed to catch a break. His last fight with Belal Muhammad was declared a no-contest for an accidental eye poke 18 seconds into Round 2.
That was the first time that “Rocky” had a chance to show what he could do since beating Rafael dos Anjos in July 2019. He was bitterly disappointed to have seen the bout end in such dramatic, yet anticlimactic, circumstances.
UFC fan-favorite Diaz makes his return to the cage for the first time since a doctor’s stoppage prematurely ended his bout with Jorge Masvidal in November 2019.
We will get to see if there is anything left in the Stockton bad boy’s tank come June 12, but I suspect the cage legend to be on his last legs. Given his profile, this could lead to some interesting odds, making this one of June’s best UFC fights to bet on.
You can find a more in-depth take in this piece that includes odds and analysis for Edwards for Diaz.
Lauren Murphy vs. Joanne Calderwood
Murphy could land a dream title shot with a win over Scotland’s Calderwood in what is the best women’s MMA fight to bet on in the UFC in June 2021.
A submission win over Liliya Shakirova in October has put her in a very auspicious position, but Calderwood will be a tough nut to crack.
JoJo beat Jessica Eye in January to move back into the win column and will be desperate to earn her first streak since beating Ariane Lipski in January 2019.
Anyone looking to gamble on UFC fights in June should most definitely check this one out.
UFC on ESPN: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige
- When: June 19, 2021
- Where: UFC APEX, Las Vegas
- Main Event: Yung vs. Ige
This card should be a lot of fun.
In terms of unmissable bouts, the headliner of this one matches that description. It’s also going to be one of the top fights to wager on in the UFC this June.
Allow me to explain why.
The Korean Zombie vs. Dan Ige
Chan Sung Jung’s mother probably refers to her boy as The Korean Zombie these days.
The moniker stuck like flypaper over the years and has to go down as one of the best UFC nicknames of all time, given its importance.
But rather than being adored for his cage name, Jung would prefer to be tearing it up with wins in the promotion. Unfortunately for the Seoul superstar, his last fight saw him drop a decision to an on-fire Brian Ortega in October.
Dan Ige dropped a decision to Calvin Kattar in July 2020 before blasting poor Gavin Tucker out in just 22 seconds in March.
Handy with his fists, the American can take a punch, too, and that’s one reason to believe that this will be one of the best UFC fights to bet on, as well as watch, in June 2021.
Thanks for the chat, Dan! Loved hearing more about your life growing up in Hawaii & baby Bam! https://t.co/8xy5DiS05d

Marlon Vera vs. Davey Grant
With two Performance of the Night awards from his last two fights, Grant is quickly gaining the reputation as an all-action fighter.
Although he is unranked in the bantamweight division, he could earn a spot in the top 15 of the official UFC standings with a win over Vera. In essence, Grant could knock Vera off the #15 slot he currently occupies.
This is a fight I’m really looking forward to watching. It will be a top fight to bet on this June, too, so make sure to check out the odds for Vera vs. Grant to see what the online UFC betting sites are saying.
UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Volkov
- When: June 26, 2021
- Where: UFC APEX, Las Vegas
- Main Event: Gane vs. Volkov
Cyril Gane announced himself to the big boys of the heavyweight division by dismantling “Big Boi” himself in February.
His next task will be to figure out the puzzle that is Alexander Volkov. If he can do that, Gane might face a familiar face in his next fight.
Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov
This is the final headliner of the month and one of the best UFC fights to bet on this June.
I’m curious to see if Gane can get away with some of the subtle errors he made in his past couple of fights or whether he will be punished by a top striker and overall competitor in Volkov.
Any experienced UFC bettor will ask the same questions before placing wagers on Gane vs. Volkov.
This is a piece of excellent matchmaking by Sean Shelby and co. and should make for one of the most technical heavyweight fights we’ll see this year.
As for one of the top UFC fights to bet on in June? Well, I think it speaks for itself.
A bit like Gane’s record in the UFC…

Don’Tale Mayes | Win by Submission | UFC FN – Oct 26, 2019 |
Raphael Pessoa | Win by Submission | UFC FN – Aug 10, 2019 |
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Maxim Grishin
A clash of the veterans sees good old OSP square off with Maxim Grishin on the undercard of Gane vs. Volkov.
I think this bout will be slept on by many MMA bettors simply because of its placement further down the pecking order. But it makes my list of the top fights you can bet on in the UFC in June because I believe the odds will make for some great bets.
