Table Tennis Betting Tips May 18, 2020

Another week is upon us so why not start with some table tennis bets online? The European scene is jam-packed with exciting pro tournaments right now and all of the reputable bookmakers are covering them regularly.

There is a lot of value to be had if you are familiar with the mini-tournament format and the skills and past results of the contestants.

And my table tennis betting tips post for May 18th tries to provide you with exactly that. I have earmarked a couple of tournaments that stage games throughout the day and bring you some of the most anticipated ties for today.

But that’s not all. Stay with me until the end and you can take advantage of my top betting picks that come with odds and reasoning.

Today’s Table Tennis Games

Several of the tournaments I like are not active today but that doesn’t mean that the daily match list doesn’t offer enough betting opportunities.

I’ve chosen two of the top events in the table tennis calendar and you can check the ties I look forward to the most.

Moscow Liga Pro, Russia

The ever-present Moscow Liga Pro starts early in the morning and hosts matches throughout the whole day. I am focusing on one particular bracket today and here are four ties you can bet on:

  • Alexey Yanshaev vs. Oleg Nikiforov
  • Alexander Petrov vs. Denis Sayanov
  • Yaroslav Troyanov vs. Vitalii Bazilevskii
  • Eugene Glazun vs. Aleksandr Volkov

Setka Cup, Ukraine

The top Ukraininan tournament regularly boasts the richest program you’ll see on the European scene and the best table tennis betting sites are all over it.

Let’s see what this Monday has in store for us:

  • Yuri Kolesnik vs. Alexander Naida
  • Igor Trydukh vs. Artem Derevinskii
  • Yuri Petrushenko vs. Ivan Poberyi
  • Ryslan Solomko vs. Dmitrii Derevinskii
  • Artem Yurkov vs. Alexey Zayets

I already mentioned the top betting sites so before I move on to my daily predictions, I just want to give you a piece of advice.

If you’re looking to make good money out of betting online, you should definitely look for a sportsbook that provides both security and smooth betting experience, and doesn’t shy away from giving out solid promotions and high betting prices.

These are all vital ingredients for a successful strategy so making a compromise on that front only limits your chances of turning a profit.

If you’re struggling to find a bookmaker that fits your needs, feel free to explore our list of recommended table tennis sites below.

Betting Picks and Predictions for May 18th

I wrap up my table tennis betting tips for Monday with three picks that I feel represent great betting value. Here are my choices:

  • Vitalii Bazilevskii to beat Yaroslav Troyanov; -120
  • Alexander Naida to best Yuri Kolesnik; -185
  • Alexey Zayets to beat Artem Yurkov; -155

Vitalii Bazilevskii and Yaroslav Troyanov always go hard at each other when they meet at the Liga Pro and today will be no different. It should be another tight affair but I’m more inclined to back Bazilevskii here as he won his last two meetings with Troyanov and has a superior head-to-head record.

Alexander Naida is one of the top players at the Setka Cup and he has been quite successful against Yuri Kolesnik in the past. I back him to come up with the goods once again and the odds of -185 feel like a very fair price.

Alexey Zayets has a higher ranking and better current form and this should be enough to put away any kind of resistance from Artem Yurukov in one of the late Setka Cup bouts for today.

That’s the end of my table tennis betting tips for today but we have lined up many more predictions for other traditional sports and various esports events as well. Be sure to check our predictions and picks section where you will find multiple previews with the latest odds and insight from our team of experts.
