Slavia Mozyr vs. Neman Grodno Betting Preview – Belarusian Premier League, June 6

Two mid-table clubs fight it out on Saturday in a season that has probably already seen too many dropped points for either to have any realistic hopes of finishing anywhere near the top spots.
It is much the same case as last year when these two ended the season in exactly the same positions as they find themselves in now. I’ve put together my thoughts below in my Slavia Mozyr vs. Neman Grodno prediction and betting pick.
Latest Odds
There doesn’t seem too much to choose between these two, and bookmaker MyBookie has also priced this game fairly evenly. Home advantage might explain making Slavia the slight favorites, but these two have not lost in their last two games, so it could be an interesting encounter on Saturday.
Slavia Mozyr vs. Neman Grodno Preview
Slavia Mozyr almost became the first team to lose a game to Belshina last weekend as it allowed the promoted club to take a two-goal lead before fighting back in the second half and eventually taking the points thanks to a last-minute goal from Francis Narh.
That embarrassment avoided, Slavia can now concentrate on consolidating its mid-table position with a home win against Neman. Although the performances have not been particularly impressive, Slavia has overcome a sticky patch of a month or so ago and has now evened out once again.
Neman has been improving, though, so it might pose a few more problems to Slavia than the home team might expect. After having its game against FC Minsk postponed two weeks ago, there have been back-to-back wins over Gorodeya and Torpedo. Beating Gorodeya last week should have been a prerequisite, but the surprising 3-1 win against the Zhodino club could prove to be a turning point for the season.
Now Igor Kovalevich will take his team to the south of the country confident that he will return with at least a point and erase any real doubt of a prolonged relegation battle this season.

Neman Grodno to Win+200
I’m not sure whether the cup semi-final defeat to BATE has had a lasting effect on Slavia’s season, but it is difficult to predict how this team will do from week to week as inconsistency seems to be at the heart of everything it does. Neman, although hardly a paragon of consistency itself, looks the more accomplished team of the two and might be able to come away with a third consecutive victory.
