Slavia Mozyr vs. FC Minsk Odds, Prediction, and Pick – Belarusian Premier League, April 25
Two sides that have endured similarly miserable results in the last few weeks meet on Saturday as Slavia Mozyr welcomes FC Minsk to the Junactva Stadium, and this Slavia Mozyr vs. FC Minsk betting preview details my thoughts.
A win for either team could be just what is needed to kick-start another push into the loftier positions in the league, rather than the mid-table melee that both clubs currently find themselves in. Both defenses have been kind to opposing teams this year so far, so there could be a few goals here.
Slavia Mozyr vs. FC Minsk Odds
This is another potentially close game according to BetOnline, with Slavia Mozyr projected as the favorite to pick up the points. But there seems to be very little to choose between the two sides. At first glance, it seems as though an FC Minsk victory would be unlikely, but the draw looks a possibility.
Slavia Mozyr made a very good start to the season and even managed to beat BATE Borisov twice in its first four games — once in the league and once in the cup. But since that semifinal first-leg victory, things have been going dramatically in the other direction.
The defeat to Isloch last weekend followed a disappointing goalless draw at home with promoted club Rukh Brest, and it is the goals drying up that would probably worry Slavia boss Mihail Martisinovich the most right now.
There is a hope that that problem can be solved this weekend, though, as FC Minsk has had a tendency to concede goals this season so far. The heaviest defeat was the 3-0 loss to BATE a couple of matchdays ago, but there have been nine goals shipped in total already this year in just five games.
Slavia’s back line has been less than steadfast itself, so there might be a slight glimmer of hope for the visitors here as well. But it has been three games without a single goal for FC Minsk now, and that goal drought might well continue on Saturday.
Slavia Mozyr vs. FC Minsk Pick
Slavia Mozyr to Win+116
With both teams playing so poorly recently, there is a real temptation to play it easy and go for the draw here. But Slavia Mozyr was looking very good just a couple of weeks ago, and the victories over BATE suggest to me that there is enough talent in the squad to return to winning ways with a positive result against FC Minsk.
