Shakhtyor Soligorsk vs. Belshina Bobruisk Betting Preview – Belarusian Premier League, May 22

Shakhtyor Soligorsk vs. Belshina Bobruisk Betting Preview, May 22, 2020

This one looks to be a little one-sided as last year’s Belarusian Cup winners welcome bottom-of-the-table Belshina to the Stroitel Stadium in Soligorsk.

Shakhtyor has picked up after a shaky start to the season and has been looking good in the last few games. I detail my thoughts below as I cover the odds and make my Shakhtyor Soligorsk vs. Belshina Bobruisk prediction.

Latest Shakhtyor Soligorsk vs. Belshina Bobruisk Odds

Shakhtyor Soligorsk to Win-546
The Draw+540
Belshina Bobruisk to Win+1462

The BetOnline sportsbook has this game as a foregone conclusion, with Shakhtyor heavily favored to pick up all three points. Considering the fact that Belshina is yet to win a single game all season, that assumption would seem to be fairly spot on. There doesn’t look like much value in any of the main game options here.

Match Preview

It is five games unbeaten in all competitions now for Shakhtyor – and the less than impressive start to the season suddenly seems a long time ago. One of those games was the cup semi final second leg win over Dynamo Brest that worked as a kick start to the campaign for the Soligorsk club, even though it eventually lost the tie.

Since then the fixtures have not been overly troublesome for Shakhtyor, but they are games that it should be winning – or least picking up a point from – if it wants to replicate its top three finishes of the last ten years. With just four points separating Shakhtyor and league leaders BATE at the moment, this season is far from over.

For Belshina it is a completely different picture, however. Bottom of the league, with no wins and just three points on the board – relegation is looming and there is still over two thirds of the season to play. There were hopes that last year’s First League champions would be able to compete this year in the top flight. But that just hasn’t been the case.

The draw at home with Vitebsk at the weekend was a positive at least, but Belshina still needed a penalty to take the lead – and then couldn’t hold to it. There haven’t been any thrashings or demoralizing defeats, but there seems no way out of the bottom two for Belshina this season.

Shakhtyor Soligorsk vs. Belshina Bobruisk Pick

  • Shakhtyor Soligorsk to Win

The odds for a home win are not worth looking at, really, unless you can add this game to a parlay bet. There might be some value in a total goals wager, though, as Belshina doesn’t tend to concede that many even though they do usually end up losing.
