Seongnam FC vs. Daegu FC Betting Preview With Pick for June 7, 2020

Daegu FC hopes that a disappointing winless start to the season changes for the better as it travels north to take on Seongnam at the Tancheon Stadium.

But Seongnam has begun the year in fine form and has not lost a single game in the first four rounds of fixtures. You can find my full thoughts below, along with my Seongnam FC vs. Daegu FC prediction and betting pick. But first, let’s see how the top soccer betting sites view this one.

Seongnam FC vs. Daegu FC Odds

Seongnam FC to Win+187
The Draw+208
Daegu FC to Win+168

Even though Daegu has not fared that well so far, BetOnline still feels confident enough to make it favorite to win this game. Although I did predict good things for Lee Byung-kuen’s side this year, it has struggled so far, and I am more interested in the odds for a home win or a draw here.

Match Preview

Seongnam has carried on from last season with a tight defense that has only conceded one goal in four games so far and currently finds itself third in the league. The latest game was a very good win away from home against FC Seoul, and the Magpies will feel that beating an out-of-sorts Daegu will be an easier task.

The home side has not blown away any of its opponents this season so far but has relied on picking off the teams it has faced with a decisive goal after containing any attacks. If Seongnam can come through this game in much the same manner, then the rest of K League 1 will have to start taking notice.

In all honesty, Daegu would probably be happy with just a draw here. But after going four games without winning a game this season, there is some pressure on the team to kick-start its campaign. Cesinha scored his side’s only goal in the draw with Sangju Sangmu last weekend, and it is the Brazilian attacking player who will be heavily relied on this Sunday, too.

It is not how many thought this season would go for Daegu after the way it punched above its weight last year to finish in fifth. But the loss of South Korea international keeper Jo Hyeon-woo looks to have really affected the squad, and there might be more frustration in the next few weeks.

Seongnam FC vs. Daegu FC Prediction and Pick

  • Seongnam FC to Win

With the bookmakers looking to Daegu’s past form to inform their odds by the look of it, this seems like a very good opportunity to back Seongnam to continue its impressive start to the season with another win at home on Sunday. Ulsan Hyundai is the only other team in K League 1 not to have lost a single game so far, and I don’t think it will be the Magpies whose record changes this weekend.
