Rukh Brest vs. Belshina Bobruisk Betting Preview – Belarusian Premier League, June 28
Rukh Brest might be in a better position than Belshina at the moment, but both clubs are looking like struggling at the wrong end of the table for the foreseeable future.
Belshina is in more need of a win this weekend, though, and could narrow the gap with a victory over the hosts here. Read on for my Rukh Brest vs. Belshina Bobruisk prediction and betting pick.
Latest Rukh Brest vs. Belshina Bobruisk Odds
As well as Rukh Brest has played this season, there have not been many times it has been the odds-on favorite. Unfortunately for Belshina, it has been the underdog before, but I think MyBookie could have the two sides a little closer. The draw bet is more interesting to me.
Rukh Brest vs. Belshina Bobruisk Match Preview
Rukh Brest’s game plan of stifling opponents and holding out for draws has meant that it hasn’t been cut adrift at the bottom of the table. But the lack of wins does mean that it is not too far away from Belshina at the basement. Manager Aleksandr Sednyov seems happy enough, though.
There have only been three victories all season for the promoted club and none since the beginning of May. Four of the last six games have ended all square, and last weekend’s 1-1 draw with high-flying Shakhtyor Soligorsk is actually a very good result.
Belshina would be very grateful for some of those draws, having only picked up six points all season and looking like it is going to make a very swift return to the second tier at the end of the year. The solitary victory against Energetik-BGU has been nowhere near enough.
But that result was a huge confidence boost for the players who then went out last week and were only narrowly beaten by table-topping BATE. Belshina needs to take encouragement from games like that, even if it does still end up on the losing side. With only half of the season to go, it needs to push on now.
Prediction and Pick
There was a point near the start of the season when it became almost too straightforward to back Rukh Brest for a draw to bring in some winnings. The defeat in the local derby changed things slightly, but it has still drawn more games than anyone else in the league. There might be another one coming this Sunday.
