Real Madriz vs. Managua FC Pick – Nicaragua Primera Division, April 4th
Top-of-the-table Managua travels to Somoto to take on Real Madriz on Saturday, safe in the knowledge that it is already assured of at least a place in the playoff quarterfinals. The reality is that the Apertura finalists should be good enough to qualify directly for the semifinals and will be confident of winning here, too.
Real Madriz’s season seems to be faltering, though. Some recent victories have not been good enough to push it into the top six, and there is a real need for the club to get at least a point here to stop other sides getting the upper hand in the league.

Real Madriz vs. Managua FC Betting Odds
The expected dominance of Managua in this game has been translated into BetOnline’s pricing, making the capital city side the favorites to take all three points. The way Real Madriz is playing this season, I would have hoped for more enticing odds for a home win.
Preview for Real Madriz vs. Managua FC
Real Madriz became the latest victim of Las Sabanas’ upsurge in form in the week when it lost 2-1 to its close rivals. That ended a run of back-to-back wins that had suggested that this team might be able to pull itself up into the top six in the division. Those hopes look a little more unobtainable now.
It just hasn’t been a very good Clausura season for Real Madriz, and the draws that dominated its Apertura have turned into losses recently. Scoring goals has not been a particular problem — at least by Nicaraguan standards — but there have not been enough clean sheets to give itself a chance of a high-placed finish.
Managua, on the other hand, looks like it will be once again challenging for the title. The club only picked up its first title in the 2018/19 season and almost doubled its honors list last year before ultimately falling to Real Esteli in the Apertura final. It looks like the team is set out to go all the way this time around.
The 1-1 draw with Real Esteli in the week may have given the visitors some hope, but it did consolidate Managua’s place at the top of the table, and that could be more important going into the playoffs. As long as concentration and focus are maintained, Managua should be regarded as favorites for another title.

Managua FC to Win-156
The odds are understandably short, but it is difficult to see anything but a Managua win here. There have only been two defeats during the Clausura and none since the beginning of March. This will be another three points for the team in pole position at the moment.
