Real Madriz vs. Chinandega Odds, Prediction, and Pick – Liga Primera de Nicaragua, April 15
Real Madriz should know whether it has definitely forfeited the points from its abandoned game with Juventus Managua at the weekend by the time this is played. The Madriz players walked off in protest at a refereeing decision but were losing at the time, so they are potentially already out of the playoff race.
Chinandega still faces an uphill battle to make the top six, though. It sits two points behind Juventus with Deportivo Ocotal still to come after this round 17 fixture.

With little to play for, I’m not sure that Real Madriz should really be considered the favorite to win this one. BetOnline is going with the home side, but I like Chinandega to give itself a fighting chance of making the playoffs by completing the first part of a successful two-game finish to the regular season.
It is difficult to know how the Real Madriz players will come out for this one after the embarrassment of the weekend. If they are still feeling hard done by, then getting anything from this game could be a much harder task. The form has not been that good recently anyway, so this could be a non-event as far as Real Madriz is concerned.
If the team does turn up, then there is still little in the last few rounds that suggests Madriz could win this. There have been no wins in the last four, and the previous game between these two ended in a Chinandega victory. The home side also has one of the lowest goal tallies in the league, so things are not looking promising.
That will all be music to Chinandega’s ears, though. Its race for a top-six finish is still very much on, and with Juventus Managua facing the two bottom-placed clubs this week, three points from this game are vital. Chinandega has just endured back-to-back defeats, but they were at the hands of two top sides, so there should still be some hope.
Veteran Colombian striker Marlon Barrios is probably the main hope for goals, but Erick Alcazar scored the penalty in the loss to Esteli and has weighed in with some important goals throughout the Clausura season. So he might be one to look out for, too.
Real Madriz vs. Chinandega Prediction and Pick
Chinandega to Win+174
Although the draw attracts the longest odds here, I think there is more value in backing Chinandega to go on and win this game. There is definitely more desire in the away team, as three points would take the race for the top six positions right down to the last day of the regular season.
The poor results of the last few games are worrying, but I feel that this team can raise itself for the challenge.
