The teams are split into four groups of eight squads each in the first week of the PUBG Global Championship 2021. Each organization will face the rest in a round-robin system and collect points.
Here’s how the groups look like.
Which PGC 2021 group do you think is bringing the most chaos?! ??

4 groups drop into the PGC 2021 Rank Decision on Nov 19th! They've got their eyes set on favorable placing in the Weekly Survival.

The second week is under the Weekly Survival rules and here’s what happens to each team.
- Top 16 – The best 16 teams from the group stage start the Weekly Survival from day one.
- 17-32 – The next 16 squads are placed on a waitlist for the Weekly Survival.
The goal of the second stage is to cut the field to 16 teams that earn a spot in the Weekly Finals and the process is simple. The top 16 teams play against each other. When a squad wins a match, it qualifies for the Weekly Finals and the first side on the waiting list enters the next Weekly Survival clash.
The process is repeated until we have 16 teams in the Weekly Finals. They play against each other in a 10-match tournament over the weekend. The teams will earn points based on the SUPER Point Rule. The winner of the Weekly Final qualifies for the Grand Final.
The rest of the teams enter the next Weekly Survival, while the other 16 squads play a BOTTOM 16 competition on the following Monday for the waiting list order for the upcoming survival.
The process repeats three times and the winners from the Weekly Finals + the top 9 other squads with the highest point totals from the Weekly Finals progress to the Grand Final. The 32nd team is eliminated from the competition.
The remaining 19 teams play four matches in the Grand Survival mode for the last four places in the Grand Final. Once they’re done, we have our list of 16 squads left.
The last stage includes three days with five matches per day that determine the final standings of the PUBG Global Championship 2021 and the distribution of the prize pool.
PGC 2021 Prize Pool
The prize pool is $2,000,000 + 30% from the revenue from the Pick’em Challenge. Here’s how the money is distributed.

I don’t remember the last time I saw such a close field. I’ve taken the PGC 2021 odds of SportsBetting.ag, but the situation is similar in most online betting sites.
There’s no clear favorite and there are at least 20 teams that can realistically challenge for the title! No one really knows who’s going to win and I’m not going to pretend I can tell you that.
What I will do is examine the top five contenders in my book, so you at least know what to expect from them.
PGC 2021 Top 5 Contenders
I believe that five teams have a better chance of going all the way at the PUBG Global Championship, so I decided to focus on them in my PGC 2021 betting preview.
Here’s what you need to know about the strongest contenders.
Petrichor Road
Many believe that this is the deadliest PUBG team in the world right now and for a good reason. The members of Petrichor Road have been together for more than a year and they have been very successful.
They won the Asian PUBG Continental Series 4 and 5 in 2021 and had solid performances in the PUBG Champions League.
PCS5 ASIA CHAMPIONS

? Petrichor Road
Having accumulated $54,000 over 36 matches, PeRo stacks the cash, 300 PGC Points, & are BACK-TO-BACK PCS Asia Champions with the #PCS5ASIA Championship!
The squad put in WORK on the final day!
?https://t.co/74dyDmLx4l#PUBGEsports pic.twitter.com/3BNgDcryRy
The squad has the tendency to rise to the occasion and there aren’t many tournaments bigger than the PUBG Global Championship. I expect a strong performance and we should see Petrichor Road in the top 5 of the standings.
Multi Circle Gaming
Another Chinese team that has the potential to make a splash at the PGC 2021 is Multi Circle Gaming. The talent and experience of the squad are obvious, but the performances haven’t been quite there this year.
The team has been consistently high in the standings of most big tournaments, but the wins aren’t that many.
Another reason to doubt Multi Circle Gaming is the unlucky draw. The organization is in Group D which might be the toughest in the opening week of the tournament.
On the other hand, the format allows some mistakes and it’s more about consistency. I believe the side will reach the Grand Final, but I don’t think that MCG will win the title.
Virtus.pro
The best PUBG European squad in 2021 can’t be ignored. Virtus.pro was a bit slow at the start of the year, but has been dominant in the European region since June.
The team won the PCS Europe 4 and 5 to qualify for the Global Championship with ease.
I expect a lot from the Russians, and I won’t be shocked if they win the upcoming tournament. They have the experience, talent, and momentum to dominate the field.
Susquehanna Soniqs
This season started with a bang for the Soniqs who won the PUBG Global Invitational in March to take home more than $1.2 million. The team looked good in the Americas Continental Series too and I expect big things in Incheon too.
The guys have the confidence, chemistry, and talent to win the title. If the Soniqs can gather enough momentum in the early stages of the competition, they can be unstoppable in the Grand Final.
Gen.G
Many ignore Gen.G because the roster of the organization went through major changes in 2021. It’s not easy to find enough cohesion when that happens, but let’s not forget that the current group had around six months to gel for the PGC 2021.
I expect a strong performance by Gen.G and the home support can elevate the squad too. I’m sure that the Koreans will reach the Grand Final and anything is possible in the last stage.
Final Words
I know for a fact that many of you have a different opinion than me and I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below. You can also back your PGC 2021 favorites with a wager at the top PUBG betting sites online.
Choose wisely because the Global Championship is a marathon, not a sprint. The teams need to show consistency over the duration of the entire month to win the title.
