PDC Darts at Home Tips for May 5, 2020 – Odds, Analysis, and Picks for Today’s Games

There’s no stopping for the PDC Darts at Home competition! It continues on Tuesday with Group 19 for those who are counting. That means we have another six matches on the schedule and the opportunity to make some money.
I share my best PDC Home Tour bets here, alongside a list of all games on Tuesday and an explanation of how the event works. The rules are simple, but you should get to know them before placing a real money wager.
PDC Darts Home Tour Group 19 Schedule for Tuesday
Before I move on to Tuesday’s PDC Home Tour schedule, let me explain the rules of each group. There are four contestants that face each other in the round-robin system throughout the day. Every clash is in the best-of-nine format, so five legs are required to for a win.
With that out of the way, here’s the list of games for today.
- Glen Durrant vs. Vincent Van Der Meer
- Justin Pipe vs. Maik Kuivenhoven
- Vincent Van Der Meer vs. Maik Kuivenhoven
- Glen Durrant vs. Justin Pipe
- Justin Pipe vs. Vincent Van Der Meer
- Maik Kuivenhoven vs. Glen Durrant
The opening encounter should start at 7:30 pm GMT and there are 30 minutes between the kick-offs of the different matches. Considering the nature of the competition, you often see changes. The best way to stay in touch with the most relevant information would be to take a look at the data provided by the top darts betting sites out there, such as the ones below.
PDC Home Tour Betting Tips for Tuesday, May 5th
It’s time for my darts betting tips for today and as always, I only go for the opening two games. That’s because the rest are impacted by the early action and there’s no point in betting on them before the first encounters are finished.
- Glen Durrant (-1.5) vs. Vincent Van Der Meer; -151
- Justin Pipe (-1.5) vs. Maik Kuivenhoven; +119
Despite the casual nature of the PDC Home Tour, I feel obliged to back Glen Durrant in the opening match. The Englishman has been excellent recently and a play like Vincent Van Der Meer shouldn’t be a big obstacle. No offense for the Dutchman, but he has been a couple of levels below Durrant, so the -1.5 handicap shouldn’t be a problem for the favorite.
The second match should be closer on paper and yet, I still expect the more experienced player to prevail. Justin Pipe’s career took a big hit around coughgate and that has certainly affected him, but there will be no fans this time around.
He should be able to handle a mediocre opponent like Maik Kuivenhoven rather easily, so the price of +119 for Pipe to beat the handicap of -1.5 legs is great.
