PDC Home Tour Best Bets for Friday, May 8, 2020

Yesterday delivered one of the most entertaining moments of the PDC Darts at Home so far. Rob Cross produced a stunning comeback from 0-4 down against Karel Sedlacek to go on and win a place in the playoffs.

That puts a lot of pressure on the next group to perform on Friday. In this preview, I go through the schedule and the rules of the competition, before moving on to my PDC Home Tour predictions and recommended darts betting tips for today.

PDC Darts Home Tour Group 22 Schedule for Friday

The rules of the PDC Darts Home Tour are simple – four guys face each other within a day and the best of them earns a place in the playoffs. The groups use the round-robin system and each game is in the best-of-nine format. Every victory brings two points and in the case of a tie, the leg difference is the tiebreaker.

That’s pretty much everything you need to know about the rules, so let’s proceed to Friday’s schedule.

  • Ian White vs. Jesus Noguera
  • Danny Noppert vs. James Wilson
  • Jesus Noguera vs. James Wilson
  • Ian White vs. Danny Noppert
  • Danny Noppert vs. Jesus Noguera
  • James Wilson vs. Ian White

The first match starts at 7:30 pm GMT and there’s half an hour between the games. The schedule sometimes changes, so you should probably follow the best betting sites for more information about the matches and the starting times.

PDC Home Tour Betting Picks for Friday, May 8th

It’s time to move on to my PDC betting picks for today and I have two suggestions for you.

  • Ian White vs. Jesus Noguera over 7.5; +100
  • Danny Noppert vs. James Wilson over 7.5; -149

There’s little doubt that Ian White is the overwhelming favorite in his match against Jesus Noguera. The Spaniard just entered the PDC Home Tour after winning two Challengers in 2019, so he will be thrilled to play with the best, even under such circumstances.

Facing World Number 11 will be a tough task, but let’s not forget that this is a casual tourney that saw plenty of surprises already. I’m not saying another one is one the cards, but Noguera could win three legs which will be enough to cover the over 7.5 line available for +100.

I will go for the same bet in the second game even if the odds there are significantly lower. It should be close between Danny Noppert and James Wilson, so I don’t see any of the players finishing the clash with a huge lead.
