Tuesday sees the ESL Pro League’s relentless schedule continue and the six remaining teams will complete another round-robin stage. This, of course, means that we can once again take advantage of some exciting betting opportunities.

I start off with the day’s early game between OG and Fnatic. The teams will meet for the first time in this year’s tournament and have so far had diametrically opposed fortunes in Phase 2.

If you’ve been following the ESL Pro League you will know exactly why Fnatic is the huge favorite here. But as I said, it’s unwise to count anyone out at this stage when the games are coming thick and fast.

Let’s proceed with the team analysis and my prediction.

OG was always going to be an underdog in Stage 2 and their two straight defeats so far largely confirm that assumption.

However, a more detailed look at the stats shows that the team is not completely doomed. They did lose 2:0 to mousesports in their first Stage 2 matchup but were really close to winning a round on Nuke.

Yesterday they showed teeth against Natus Vincere who are rolling right now and are the team to beat. OG took the first round 16-7 with a brilliant performance on Inferno. They failed to win the match but made the top-ranked Ukrainians work hard for the victory.

Given that they are 14th in the world rankings, their performances at the ESL Pro League have definitely exceeded expectations and underestimating players like NBK- and mantuu will be a big mistake.

After losing Group B’s top spot to Natus Vincere in Stage 1, the Swedes have been on a roll. They dispatched Ninjas in Pyjamas comfortably in the decider match and have been brilliant in Stage 2 so far.

They started out with a more or less expected win against FaZe Clan but the manner in which they beat their opponents on Inferno showed that this team means business.

To cap off their recent great form, Fnatic took the biggest scalp of the tournament by overcoming Astralis yesterday. The Swedish outfit took an early lead on Dust II and narrowly lost a highly-entertaining second round on Train.

However, they stuck to their guns and had another masterful performance on Inferno to close out the tie. Captain KRIMZ and JW showed up big time which will be needed once again if the team doesn’t want any nasty surprises.

There’s no doubt that Fnatic comes into the tie as a big favorite. They have been superb since the conclusion of Stage 1 and beating Astralis is always a huge statement.

However, I feel this might be closer than the bookmakers think. OG showed grit in their tie against Natus Vincere and they can definitely surprise Fnatic given that the two teams haven’t met before at this level.

Fnatic has had the tougher schedule and there is bound to be at least some mental fatigue there. OG will be playing without any pressure and I think this will suit them.

I was flirting with the possibility of backing the underdog here but I feel that the best option is to bet on a three-round game.

The odds are still great and it covers a 2:1 win for both teams, so I’m going with that.
