You can get even riskier and try to predict the round 1 winner for huge odds, or you can take less risk with odds still in positive territory, as I did here.
Odds, Props, and Prediction for the 2022 Zurich Classic

The 2022 Zurich Classic odds are now out, so it’s time for us to break down the event and see which golfers we should be targeting on our betting sheets. This event will be done in teams of two, which means there’s a bit of a different aspect than our usual PGA Tour event.
It will be a nice way to spice things up as we try to predict the outright winners and make some Zurich Classic prop bets. Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith took home the first-place prize in last year’s event, winning $1,069,300 each.
Smith and Leishman will look to defend their crowns from last season, while some other capable pairs can look to knock them off.
Let’s get into our Zurich Classic 2022 guide to find the best golf betting sites, as well as the top threat to win it this year.
Best Zurich Classic Betting Sites
First things, you will want to set up a betting account on one or more of these sites. Not only are they offering Zurich Classic odds, but they also cover tons of other sports to bet on.
Signing up is quick and easy for these sites as well. All you need is some personal information (SSN, ID, etc.) and your preferred payment option before you get started. From there, you’ll want to look at the top golf betting sites and see which site you want to use.
That could be anything from the generous welcome bonuses to the website’s layout. The choice is yours here, but remember that you don’t have to pick just one.
Once you pick a site and set up your account, you’ll want to head over to the golf section on your site to find the Zurich Classic betting odds.
If you already have an account set up, keep reading to see which golfers should be on your radar for who will win the Zurich Classic.
Latest Zurich Classic Odds for 2022

These are the current top 15 Zurich Classic odds right now. Remember that these 15 options are not the only ones available for you to bet on. There are 160 players and 80 total teams to choose from.
If you are a longshot bettor, the largest odds are (+50000). A $10 bet will turn into $5,000 if one of those options wins.
The four teams with those odds include Brett Drewitt/Dawie Van Der Walt, Jay/Bill Haas, Jim Knous/Martin Trainer, and Scott Gutschewski/D.A. Points. If one of those teams is your Zurich Classic winner prediction, go crazy with those prices.
As for the teams coming into the Zurich Classic 2022 as the favorites, that would be Patrick Cantlay/Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland/Collin Morikawa. All four of these golfers are great by themselves, but they can be even better together.
They are the top Zurich Classic contenders, but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t sneak away with the win here.
Top Zurich Classic Favorites for 2022
For the Zurich Classic top contenders, there are multiple interesting options here to choose from. You can go with one of the favored teams, of course, but other options have more value with their odds for around the same winning probability.
Let’s look at two more top contenders for the Zurich Classic 2022 and who you should consider betting on.
Marc Leishman/Cameron Smith (+900)

How about the reigning champions to repeat for one of the top Zurich Classic picks? You don’t need a lot of reasons to say why these guys can win this event because they just did last year.
In fact, Cameron Smith has won 2 out of the last four events. He seems to have a knack for winning this event and could be underrated, considering he’s 3rd on the odds list.
Smith has been on a bit of a roll, winning The Players Championship and the Sentry Tournament of Champions over his last seven events. He also placed 3rd in The Masters just two weeks ago.
Smith has seemed to have had the magic touch when it comes to the Zurich Classic, so he and Leishman could be a team to target here.
Ryan Palmer/Scottie Scheffler (+1000)

Someone who has had a knack for winning, in general, has been Scottie Scheffler. He is the hottest golfer on the PGA Tour, winning 4 of his last six events. Those events have been The Masters, WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the WM Phoenix Open.
The two events he hasn’t won in that span would be the Genesis Invitational, where he placed 7th (tied), and the Players Championship, where he placed 55th (tied). Despite the 55th place in that event, he’s been insanely good lately.
Add in a 2nd place finish (Hero World Challenge) and a 4th place finish (World Wide Tech Championship) to complete an incredible 2022 season so far.
Ryan Palmer also is a winner of a recent Zurich Classic, when he and Jon Rahm took home first in 2019. Palmer has two 4th place finishes in his career in the Zurich Classic.
Sleepers for the 2022 Zurich Classic
Talk about flying under the radar; how about some Zurich Classic sleepers with great value for 2022? The top options might have the best chance of winning, but anything can happen on the PGA Tour. Scottie Scheffler can’t win every event even though it has seemed like it recently.
There are a few other options with incredible Zurich Classic odds that might cash this year. Here are two more teams you should consider for your Zurich Classic prediction.
Byeong-Hun An/Sungjae Im (+3300)

The first of my Zurich Classic sleepers will be the team of Byeong-Hun An and Sungjae Im. Their odds look valuable, considering some of their recent placements in the Zurich Classic.
An has had the higher finish between the two, which was an incredible 2nd place finish back in 2016. He’s only been in one PGA event for the 2022 season, but he will be fresh off another second-place finish in the Veritex Bank Championship (KFT).
He placed 12th in the event before that (Club Car Championship), so he should be at or near the top of his game right now.
He placed 21st (tied) in RBC Heritage and 8th (tied) in the Masters over the past two events. He’s had 9 top 25 finishes in the 2022 season, with his best being a win in the Shriners Children’s Open back in October (2021).
Im is the better golfer of the two, but An has come way closer to winning the Zurich Classic. Together, they can be strong Zurich Classic sleepers to consider.
Chris Kirk/Brendon Todd (+4000)
This year, a team that could surprise some people is Chris Kirk and Brendon Todd. They have some valuable odds at (+4000) and could be the surprise team that pulls it off in 2022. Kirk and Todd got 27th in 2021 but have had some nice placings when it was a solo event.
Kirk’s best finish at the Zurich Classic was in 2016, when he placed 6th and took home $255,500. Todd’s best finish was the 27th finish with Kirk in 2021, but they had three other years of experience for this event.
Kirk has been close to the top recently as well. He had a 3-event span (WM Phoenix Open, The Honda Classic, and Arnold Palmer Invitational) where he placed 14th, 7th, and 5th.
Todd also had a very nice finish in the Valero Texas Open 2 events ago, where he placed 8th (tied). Yes, these two are a bit of a longshot, but their odds look valuable right now.

Zurich Classic Prop Bets to Target
- Hovland/Morikawa to Place Top 5 (+160)
- Smith/Leishman to Place Top 5 (+210)
- An/Im to Place Top 20 (+110)
- Kirk/Todd to Place Top 20 (+120)
I am targeting the golfers I mentioned above for my Zurich Classic prop bets but in these ranges. Predicting an outright winner of any PGA Tour event is challenging, and that’s why the odds are always super valuable for even the top choices.
With that being said, a good way to combat that is to bet on Zurich Classic props instead. BetUS offers these props and always has unique ones to choose from for all golf events.
Morikawa and Hovland are both incredible golfers individually, but together they can have a real shot of winning the Zurich Classic 2022. After all, it is a team-based event. That means that if you don’t have a strong team as a whole, you might not have as good of a shot at winning as you think.
These two should be incredible together, and a top 5 finish should be very doable for them. You can say the same for Smith and Leishman, with Smith being a frequent winner over his last couple of tries.
An/Im and Kirk/Todd are longer shots to win the tournament straight up, but we will take a top 20 finish for them with plus odds. It’s about finding value in each option, and the odds for these four picks seem like great finds.
Prediction for Who Wins the 2022 Zurich Classic
Ryan Palmer/Scottie Scheffler (+1000)
At the end of the day, you can decide to bet on anyone you like on the Zurich Classic odds this year. The options I recommended seem to have some decent chances of winning, but picking an outright winner is tough.
Scottie Scheffler is out of his mind right now and could carry it into this event. He and Palmer will be my pick to win the Zurich Classic 2022.
They aren’t the top option in the odds list, but that could mean they are a bit underrated coming into this. Scheffler’s been unstoppable recently and pairing him with a respectable golfer like Palmer can only increase his chances of winning.
