There’s little doubt that Nigma was among the best teams in the group stages of the competition. The squad finished second with a record of six wins and only one defeat. One of the victories was against Team Liquid just a couple of days ago and it was a close match.

In fact, most wins of Nigma were hard-fought and it looked like the side lacks some consistency. That was the main reason for the loss against VP.Prodigy in the playoffs and the team now has to start again from the Lower Bracket.

The problem is that Nigma’s performance has been on a downward trajectory in the past several days, while most of the opponents have improved.

The group stage started with two defeats for Liquid and the team was on the ropes. Four wins in the next five matches were enough to quality for the playoffs, but only for the lower bracket. The squad can’t afford more errors and that has lifted the performance to another level.

We saw a solid match against HellRaisers yesterday and despite some trouble in the second game, Liquid managed to overcome a decent opponent. The side’s ability to patiently use early advantages is second-to-none and that’s been the key to success.

I expect to see more of the same in the upcoming match and I feel that Liquid is looking stronger right now.

Nigma won a close match against Team Liquid on Sunday, but I think the tables have turned since. I believe that Liquid has improved in the knockouts and that would be enough to earn the victory on Thursday.
