Night One Betting Preview for WrestleMania 37

| April 7, 2021 8:47 am PDT

WWE decided to make WrestleMania 2021 a two-day event once again, so there will be a ton of action across April 10 and 11.

Most of the schedule is out and the best sportsbooks online have reacted by releasing their odds for the event.

My WrestleMania 37 Night One preview is focused on the first day of The Show of Shows. I go through every match on the card, exploring the storylines so far and the latest WrestleMania betting odds. I’ve also added my predictions on what’s most likely to happen in each fight.

Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair

Sasha Banks to Win+200
Bianca Belair to Win-300

This year has been great for Bianca Belair who got a big push by WWE. The star won the 2021 Royal Rumble match to earn a title shot and spent some time exploring her options.

At the end of February, Belair decided to go after Sasha Banks’ SmackDown Women’s Championship belt after the champion said she’s not good enough.

The build-up has been somewhat quiet by WWE standards, but the fans are certainly excited for this one.

The whole storyline so far suggests that Belair should win this one and the WWE betting sites expect a victory for the contender too.

I can certainly see why, but I have my doubts and that’s why I didn’t put Sasha Banks on my list of champions most likely to lose their titles at WrestleMania 37.

I believe that WWE will surprise us with some of the fights and this clash might be one of them. Let’s not forget that Sasha Banks has a 0-5 record at WrestleMania and this has to stop, eventually.

Winning when she is expected to lose looks like the best way to break her negative streak, so I’m backing Banks to keep her belt in what might be the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One.

Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre

Bobby Lashley to Win+150
Drew McIntyre to Win-200

After waiting for what seemed like forever, Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career recently.

The fans weren’t happy with the way he got the belt, though, after he first helped The Miz ambush Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber.

Lashley then won the title himself by beating the new champ and it was announced that he will have to defend it versus Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37.

The duo had some moments since, including this surprising attack by King Corbin.

The whole setup so far has a McIntyre win written all over it. The Scottish star won the title at last year’s WrestleMania, so it’s only natural for him to return to glory once again in 2021.

The whole chaotic situation with The Miz and Lashley was just created to build some hype for the future and I expect a new feud for McIntyre after WrestleMania 37. Perhaps Brock Lesnar?

Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs. The Miz and John Morrison

I haven’t added the betting odds for this one because there have been changes in the schedule.

The WrestleMania bookies online still display the prices for a singles fight between Bad Bunn and The Miz at the time I’m writing the post, but it will be a Tag Team match instead.

The rapper and Damian Priest’s challenge was accepted by The Miz and John Morrison, so we will see both sides on the ring at WrestleMania 2021 Night One.

That’s hardly a shocker because Bad Bunny and The Miz have been going at it for a while. The best Wrestling Mania betting sites had the rapper as a massive favorite in a singles match and I expect something similar for the new format.

Celebrities rarely come to WWE to lose unless there’s some long-term twist at play here, but we’re talking about The Show of Shows here.

I fully expect a victory for Bad Bunny and Damian Priest. That probably won’t be among the best WrestleMania 37 Night One picks, though, because the odds should be low.

The New Day vs. AJ Styles and Omos

The New Day to Win+200
AJ Styles and Omos to Win-300

There will be another tag team match on the first day of WrestleMania 2021 but with a belt on the line. The New Day will try to defend their WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against AJ Styles and Omos.

The betting sites don’t expect Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to remain in possession of the title when it’s all said and done, though.

The champions just beat the same opponents on Raw, but the whole thing felt like a build-up for a major victory for their AJ Styles and Omos.

The whole storyline has been developed in the direction of Omos being this unstoppable giant, so a win for the contenders is among the most sensible predictions for WrestleMania 37 Night One.

Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon

Braun Strowman to Win-500
Shane McMahon to Win+300

The match between Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon has been coming for a while and I’m not surprised by the stipulation either.

The two will meet in a steel cage on April 10, so there will be no more running around.

Strowman was supposed to fight the same opponent twice already, but McMahon faked an injury at Fastlane 2021 and send Elias as his replacement. The substitute was soundly beaten twice, so it’s time for the original challenger to step up.

The whole feud so far has been focused on McMahon somehow avoiding his opponent and playing games.

The most logical conclusion would be a sound win for Strowman and the steel cage stipulation suggests that would be the case too.

The WrestleMania 37 betting odds are on line with such a prediction and I have to agree with the WWE gambling sites here.

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins

Cesaro to Win-200
Seth Rollins to Win+150

The feud between Seth Rollins and Cesaro has been developing for a while, so it was another logical addition to WrestleMania 2021 day one.

Rollins won an exciting match against Shinsuke Nakamura recently and used the moment to challenge his foe, claiming he will never let Cesaro swing him again.

That’s when Cesaro appeared and started swinging Rollins. He accepted his challenge and we’ll see them on April 10.

The overall sensation is that Seth Rollins will get humiliated again at WrestleMania 37, but I’m not 100% sure that’s going to happen.

The fans find the whole situation hilarious, though, and it’s hard going against Cesaro. I honestly struggle to pick a winner for this one, so I can’t give you a prediction. If you have one, feel free to share it in the comments below.

Tag Team Turmoil Match

The last clash on the WrestleMania 37 Night One schedule right now is a Tag Team Turmoil match between the following four teams.

  • Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose
  • Lana and Naomi
  • Natalia and Tamina
  • The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott)

There are no odds for this one yet because it was added to the card at the start of this week. The winning duo will earn the right to fight against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the second night of WrestleMania 2021.

There’s a chance that Carmella and Billie Kay also join this one, so we might end up with five teams on April 10.

With so many options, I’m not sure where this will go. I guess that The Riott Squad makes the most sense here, but I wouldn’t bet money on that.

Wrap-Up

I hope that you found my WrestleMania 37 Night One preview useful. The first day of the show will bring us a lot of action and I won’t be surprised if even more matches are added to the fight card.

I intend to share my WrestleMania 37 predictions for the second night too, so stay tuned. I also plan to add detailed betting previews for at least two or three matches that will be published in our wrestling picks section.
