NFL Win Total Betting – Predicting Packers’ Wins in 2020

Green Bay Packers Win Total Predictions for 2020

The demise of the Green Bay Packers has been greatly exaggerated. Despite the team finishing 13-3 and advancing to the NFC title game a season ago, far too many people are assuming a quality team is about to crumble.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers was probably a bit slighted by the team’s reach for Utah State product Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft. But he also understands the franchise has to prepare for the future.

There will be teams that should trade for Aaron Rodgers eventually, but perhaps not just yet.

Love’s presence doesn’t contribute anything to the Packers right now, but the rest of Green Bay’s offseason might. Clearly gearing up for a more run-heavy approach, the Packers may oddly enough be more equipped for a Super Bowl run this year than they were in 2019.

That’s something to keep in mind for anyone trying to make Green Bay Packers win total predictions for 2020. To aid bettors in that plight, let’s break down Green Bay’s win total wagers and come to some conclusions.

Packers’ Win Total Over/Under

Over 9 Wins-125
Under 9 Wins-105

Green Bay wasn’t quite as good as their 13-3 record of a year ago may indicate, but they also found ways to win a lot of close games.

The Packers could get even more dominant in 2020, at least in some respects. The obvious one is their ground game, as the team invested in run-blocking offensive lineman and brought in a menacing bruiser in rookie tailback A.J. Dillon.

They still have one of the best pure passers in football in A-Rod, too, so you know they’ll be tough to bet against.

Could it all blow up in Green Bay’s face? Sure, but probably not so much that it’d result in a losing campaign. This is a tough over/under to work with, but the Packers remain the class of the NFC North and are solid bets to finish 10-6 or better.

Packers’ Exact Win Total

I’m not here to tell you the Packers will win 15+ games or chase down a title. They could, but those feel like reaches if you’re a sports bettor just looking to get a win.

The best play is 10-14 wins. The Packers were rebuilt on the fly going into last year, and the result was an amazing season. It’s likely the team’s chemistry and success from a year ago carries over, while the Jordan Love pick could honestly light a fire under Aaron Rodgers.

There will be a target on Green Bay’s back, and their schedule isn’t exactly easy, but they have the necessary tools to have another successful campaign. Likely owning the NFC North again would propel the Packers safely beyond ten wins and again slot them in the NFC playoffs.

Betting on the Packers in 2020

The public is down on the Packers, and it has everything to do with their draft. Prior to the draft, however, they made cost-effective moves to replace departing players at linebacker and right tackle, while they also let Jimmy Graham walk.

The latter is addition by subtraction, while the team even added wide receiver Devin Funchess. Not taking a single wide receiver — and drafting the heir apparent to Rodgers — has dropped Green Bay in a lot of people’s eyes, but they’re still the team they were in 2019.

They may honestly be even better. If so, they’re a solid Super Bowl bet, and they could be a lock to win the division again.

Even if that isn’t the case, they still project well for 2020, and a ten-win season looks like a solid bet. If you’re going to bet on the Packers’ win total this year, though, go the exact route (10-14, +110).
