What I see is the same high-octane offense returning in full force, only they’ve added a new toy in Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The former LSU RB figures to be one of the best picks in the 2020 NFL Draft thanks to how perfect of a fit he’ll be in this offense. CEH gives Mahomes yet another weapon with supreme pass-catching abilities, plus it takes the pressure off of Damien Williams to have to carry the load.

I could rave about Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, and we know about the top-end speed that Mecole Hardman and Sammy Watkins possess. But nobody is questioning what KC can achieve on that side of the ball. I’d instead like to point out that the Chiefs’ defensive unit quietly held their own in 2019.

Kansas City ranked in the top 10 in the league in red zone defense and 12^th stopping their opponent on third down. Their 16 interceptions were the fifth-most in the NFL.

As long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field, pencil this crew in for 12-14 regular-season victories.

You don’t even have to be in a frisky mood to get behind the Chiefs winning 15-16 games. The +1600 price tag at BetOnline is more than enough reason to consider getting some money down betting on the Chiefs’ exact win total.

Nevertheless, KC landing between 10-14 victories is where my money is headed.
