The hits just keep coming this summer. It seems like I just provided an update on the new titles that kicked off the month, and now I have more fun for you with the best new online slot releases for mid-July 2020.
This batch of real money online slots covers five different software providers and gameplay that ranges from classic slot gaming to thousands of ways to win with “featurific” extras. No, that’s not a word, but it aptly describes the terrific features hidden inside these online slots, like a gamble-up bonus, PopWins, and Nobleways mechanics.
I’m starting with a new slot that’ll take you back at least a few decades. It’s ideal for players who like to keep it simple and aren’t interested in new twists to an old game. From there, though, things heat up as you enter the dream zone, spin with a superhero, and pop symbols to watch the screen expand.
So, pour yourself a lemonade, put your feet up, and prepare to be entertained right from the comfort of your home or backyard with the best new online slots releases for mid-July 2020.
I’m going old-school with the first of five new online slot game releases in mid-July. The name of the game is Burning Classics, and it’s an apt description.
Forget about flying pigs, exploding volcanoes, or the powers of Zeus, as this new title by Booming Games is keeping it real. It’s a 20-payline game played on standard 5×3 reels, which you can hear rotating through, just as if you were pulling a lever in person.
The background is red and looks like it’s got a few water bubbles coming up from the bottom, but that’s about the only visual enhancement you’ll come across. Burning Classics features the most familiar symbols in the slot world with sevens, cherries, plums, and other fruit, and any of them can show up stacked for more payout potential.
Wilds and Free Spins scatters are also in the mix. The Free Spins symbols will get you into the bonus round, armed with ten games. But more importantly, they’re the top prize producers. Five of those scatters are worth 2,000 times your total bet. With wagering that starts at 0.20 and goes up to 200.00, the award could be as much as 400,000.00!
Burning Classics is an anomaly when it comes to today’s slots, as it doesn’t have fixed paylines. So, if you’re not in the mood to play 20 lines, then you can stake one, two, or whatever you prefer. That makes the starting bet as little as 0.01.
I’m heading from one extreme to the other with the next new online slot release in mid-July, as Dreamzone is about as far away from Burning Classics as you can get.
I’ll do my best to do this game justice. However, it’s one of those that you need to see to get the gist. It’s not only unlike Burning Classics, but any other slot that’s in the online casino world. It’s futuristic with some mesmerizing visual effects going on behind the scenes.
Avalanches Without Replacements
Dreamzone is a cluster pay slot set on a 5×5 game board with a betting range of 0.20 to 100.00. That’s all pretty standard stuff, right? That’s where traditional slot gaming ends, as you’re about to enter the zone.
The goal of Dreamzone is to stay in that zone, which is a series of symbol drops. Whenever there’s a cluster of three or more symbols in front of you, you’re paid, and they’re zapped off of the board. Any images above then fall into empty spaces.
However, unlike other avalanche-based games, nothing new is coming in to replace the gaps at the top, and that’s a good thing for you.
Multipliers Rise as High as X512
You want to remove all of the symbols from the board, as that’s the bonus trigger. Plus, once you’re in the free spins round, clearing the board increases your bonus multiplier. That multiplier jumps by two notches, and you could potentially get to the maximum of X512, which would get you some crazy payouts!
This probably seems pretty straightforward so far, and it is until I get to the dream features. You can collect elements whenever you get a win, and they’ll help you to keep the avalanche process in motion even with a non-win.
For example, there’s one that provides symbol explosions, that’ll take some of the icons off the screen and rearrange the rest. Some wilds could create new cluster wins, and there are also symbol upgrades and scatters.
Everything is so fast-paced that it could take a while to catch on to everything happening on the screen. But I found that the surprise moves were always to my benefit.
Captain Rizk Megaways
Red Tiger Gaming has an action-packed summer line-up for online slot players. New titles are rolling out almost weekly, and they’re innovative, as well as potentially lucrative.
Captain Rizk is the latest release, and it uses the proprietary Megaways system by Big Time Gaming. So, the oversized 6×7 game accommodates up to 117,649 ways to win, but every game is different as symbols appear in different heights.
If you’ve never played a Megaways slot before, you’re in for a treat. There aren’t any paylines, as you’re looking for identical images on adjacent reels, but you have to start on the left with the first one. Taller symbols don’t benefit you as much in a Megaways game, as they take up more space, leaving you with fewer ways to win.
In this particular version, you’ve got a slot superhero called Captain Rizk, who looks a bit like The Flash. He circles the reels and has a magical Mystery Rizk cloning symbol that replicates and then reveals matching images.
There’s also a unique free spins game where you’ll play a mini-game show. You can collect eight freebies right up front, or “rizk” them for a shot at the wheel of spins.
While you have a few betting options, this is a low-stakes game, so you can’t go too crazy. The minimum is 0.20, and the most you can rizk is 10.00.
Wild Pops is a follow-up to Poprocks, as it uses the studio’s new PopWins mechanics. PopWins is like a feature-rich package. It’s got popping symbols that prompt multiplier increases and expanding reels all in one shot.
This particular game has a vague Asian theme. I say vague because, like Poprocks, the subject matter is secondary, and it’s more ambiguous. Instead, you’ll focus on the non-stop activities that take place all over your game screen.
Win Both Ways Without Paylines
While there’s potential for 33,614 ways to win, you’ll start with 486 on a 5×3 screen. If you’re an experienced slot player, you’re probably ready to call me out on that math. But 486 is correct as Wild Pops lets you claim adjacent-way wins in both directions. It only takes one of those successful combinations to kick-start the PopWins chain of events.
Every win pops, leaving holes that need to be filled. But as symbols are going, the reels are expanding. You get two new vertical symbol positions for every winning image. Plus, the multiplier meter on the left is keeping track of our popped symbols. Every time you hit the seven-mark, you get a +1 rise in value. So, pops are a three-part feature.
Seven Rows Extend Slot Life
In WildPops, you also get the benefit of two random wilds that enter the scene after your successful third round of pops. Also, when you hit the seven-row mark on the board, you’ll get three extra “lives” in your chain of popping events.
You’ll find that WildPops is wilder than Poprocks with the additional wild symbols. It also has a broader range of betting (0.20 to 50.00).
Mayan Eagle Nobleways
Big Time Gaming has Megaways, and, now, Microgaming has Nobleways. They’re similar but not identical.
In Mayan Eagle Nobleways, Microgaming’s new online slot release for July, you’re playing for 15,625 ways to win. Unlike Megaways, that number stands. So, all of the symbols remain consistently sized in the 6×5 screen. You can win up to 13,000 times your bet in a single game, and that wager is worth anywhere from 0.20 to 20.00.
The way that Mayan Eagle works is that you’re looking for matching images on adjacent symbols starting with the left side and reel one. The images can be anywhere on the column, but if you skip a reel, then the combination ends. It’s pretty standard stuff for modern video slots.
Elements that take this particular slot to the next level are the mystery symbols and bonus game multipliers.
Spell MAYA with scatter blocks, and you’re then awarded 12 free spins that start with double payouts. The rolling reels set into motion by winning combinations increase the multiplier by a notch so, if you get five consecutive wins, you’re playing for six times the standard payout.
Most of the six-of-a-kind combinations aren’t very valuable, as this is a game based on quantity over quality. However, six of the high-value purple and gold blocks are worth X50. When you factor in a multiplier, you’re golden.
I like all of the new online slot releases for mid-July. But if you force me to select just one, I have to choose Dreamzone. I still haven’t mastered the learning curve for all of the unique features that appear and disappear frequently, but the visual effects are enough to put me in a slot trance.
For a more retro experience where you can hear the reels turn, you’ll want to play Burning Classics. And if you like thousands of ways to win, you can’t go wrong with Mayan Eagle Nobleways, WildPops, or Captain Rizk.
