New Online Slots for Late October 2020

It’s not quite time for Christmas-themed slots to hit the virtual banks. So, the best new online slot releases for the end of October are all over the place with themes.

You’re about to visit Imperial Russia, the beautiful rolling hills of Ireland, and experience a wild night out in a club that showcases bottles of alcohol circling the reels. There’s also a book with magical slot powers and a retro-looking game with a contemporary twist.

In addition to the diverse themes, this collection features only one 243 ways to win game—the other four stick to ten to 30 fixed paylines, which is a bit unusual these days.

But two out of the five include one of my new preferred features, expanding bonus symbols. They pay regardless of their position, and your chances of filling the screen with matching images are pretty darn good.

Whether you prefer multipliers, wild symbols, bonus rounds, or symbol upgrades, you’re bound to appreciate the hidden surprises in five new games. Their reels are already spinning in the best online casinos around the world. So, if you see something you like, go for it!

Celtic Spirit

I’ll start the list of top five new online slot releases for the end of October with a beautiful and pretty straightforward slot game by Stakelogic called Celtic Spirit.

Celtic Spirit is a 20 fixed payline game with green fields in the background and a Celtic Princess who guards a mini-reel. Betting runs from 0.20 to 100.00, and two high-value five-of-a-kinds are each worth X20 based on the total wager.

Three Celtic Princess bonus symbols unlock a six-free spins round, but it’s not the spotlight feature. Instead, all eyes are on that mini-reel. It sits at the top of the board above the middle column.

That little reel spins horizontally and has one symbol spot that displays wilds or multipliers in the base game. In the bonus, extra free spins and sticky wilds hide behind the Princess.

When the Princess allows main game access, you’ll see multipliers between X2 and X5 rotate through until one lands. The other alternatives are wild, from three to nine, to be exact.

Bonus reels are played with a new mini-reel. You’ll find +1, +2, or +3 for extra spins, or a wild emblem will appear. The wild locks and sits in the middle. As more wilds start to come out, they’ll take up adjacent spots and will also stick for the duration.

So, the spirit in Celtic Spirit is that secret compartment that reveals features at random. The rest of the game is based on the quest for five-of-a-kinds.

Rock the Cash Bar

It’s a fun night on the (slot) town, but you can play Rock the Cash Bar at any time.

The new 243 ways to win game by Yggdrasil Gaming is filled with neon and spirits. Game symbols are bottles of alcohol and fruit. As they’re rotating the reels, the invisible lighting technician could spring into action with colored spotlights that leave behind wild symbols, leading you to bigger wins.

In addition to that little Wild Night Out spotlight-driven bonus, there’s a multi-level free spins round as well. Instead of three scatters, though, you only need one of the three plus admission tickets across the rest of the reels to get to your bonus party.

  • Club Night plus admission tickets = bonus multipliers of X1, X2, and X3
  • Invite plus admission tickets = X4, X6, and X8
  • VIP plus admission tickets = increasing multiplier starting at X10

During any of the three bonuses, you could end up with random re-spins and expanding reels. The screen can grow to 5 x 7 with up to 16,807 ways to win. There’s also a bonus upgrade. So, if you start with Club Night, you could end up with Invite, then VIP Plus with the higher multipliers.

Rock the Cash Bar has a seven-figure maximum win potential and wagering of 0.10 to 100.00.

Book of Darkness

I’ve got one for American players this month, as Betsoft has a new ten-payline slot release that’s deceptive.

You’ll feel like you’re working with a lot more winning ways through the magical powers of the Book of Darkness.

Clashing Forces for Free Spins

Book of Darkness brings together a Huntress and a Dark Wizard in a Clash for Power. The dominating force will end up hosting a ten-spin bonus round with either an X5 multiplier or five expanding symbols. I’ll get to those expanding symbols in a minute, as they’re one of my favorite bonus features.

But before I get to the fun stuff, you’ll want to know that Book of Darkness is a low-stakes online slot release for October 2020. Wagering is limited to 10.00, or you can go with a minimum of just 0.10, which covers every line as well.

Five of the books, which are wild and have scatter properties, are worth X200 on your total bet plus 20 spins, instead of ten.

Powerful Bonus Symbols

The bonus focuses on symbol expansion. Without the Dark Wizard’s help, the scatter-driven bonus starts by flipping through the book’s pages to isolate one game symbol. If three or more of that image come up at once, they expand, giving you ten three-of-a-kinds. The bonus symbol isn’t restricted to adjacent reels, so you get your ten payouts regardless of placement.

I love the expanding symbol concept as you’ve got a real shot at filling the screen with five-of-a-kinds. In the Dark Wizard’s game, the odds swing in your favor even more with five expanding symbols instead of one.

Ten paylines aren’t usually enough to hold my attention. But, the design features in Book of Darkness combined with clashes, bonuses, and expanding symbols make this one a must-read.

If you’re looking a casino to play this and other Betsoft slots, I recommend Super Slots Casino.

Golden Tsar

If I didn’t stress enough how much I enjoy the expanding bonus symbols, then I’ll really hit home the point with Golden Tsar.

It’s the ideal (and unplanned) segue as Golden Tsar revolves around the same concept in both the main game and bonus round.

It’s not often that you come across an online slot game based on Imperial Russia!

This particular game takes you inside the palace and the world of four royal characters.

The Tsar is, of course, the star of the show as the highest-value symbol. But all four royals sit atop the reels, and their meters fill with corresponding wins on the board.

Golden Tsar is a 30-payline game that allows for 0.20 to 40.00 wagering. You won’t find any wild symbols, and the golden Faberge eggs are scatters that lead you into a 12 to 18 free spins bonus round.

As far as those meters, though, they lead to the special expanding symbols that I’m fond of, if you haven’t figured that out yet.

Whenever the gauge fills, you’ll get the royal treatment as that character’s symbol grows, and you’re paid for 30 non-adjacent combinations. It only gets better in the bonus round, though, as a high-value symbol is chosen to expand, plus you can still work on those meters at the same time.

You’ve only got one unique feature in Red Tiger Gaming’s Golden Tsar, but at least it’s a good one.

777 Royal Wheel

From the royals in the Golden Tsar’s palace to the royal treatment in Microgaming’s 777 Royal Wheel, noble gaming continues in another of the best new online slot releases for October.

When you first access 777 Royal Wheel, you’ll think you’ve time-warped a bit with 7s and bars dominating the reels. But two unique features give this new 25-payline game a modern twist. The first is winning re-spins, and the second is an unusual rotating wheel above the board.

A Re-spin With Each Win

Every win prompts a re-spin with the matching symbols held. The goal is to keep adding to the winning combination to keep the reels turning. You could potentially get to a 15-matching symbol outcome if the bars and sevens cooperate.

There’s also a wild symbol boosted whenever the wild wheel randomly activates. It’ll display an icon that morphs into an X2 wild for the series (meaning the winning re-spins).

Combining Wild Multipliers

Those X2 wilds combine for even bigger wins. If you filled the screen with them, you’d have X24 applied to wild five-of-a-kinds already worth 12 times your total bet. And, as far as that bet, it can be anywhere from 0.25 to 75.00.

You may miss the lack of a free spins bonus. But, then again, you may not, with all of the re-spins action in 777 Royal Wheel.

What’s Your Choice of New Online Slot?

In October, the new online slot releases don’t take on your typical themes of Egypt, animals, or outer space. It’s not often that you play a game with Faberge eggs and Russian Tsars. But if you’ve been sitting around wondering when one would hit the online casinos, then today is your lucky day.

I try to isolate my picks to my all-around favorite each month, but it’s apples and oranges with these five games. If you force my hand, though, I’ll go with Rock the Cash Bar. It doesn’t have payline constraints, and expanding reels can skyrocket the possibilities from 243 to 16,807.

Someone at Yggdrasil has to get credit for the creative name. You’ll remember Rock the Cash Bar.
