Nebitci vs. Altyn Asyr Betting Preview With Pick – Yokary Liga, May 9

This would seem like a huge opportunity for reigning champion Altyn Asyr to continue its resurgence after what was a relatively shaky start to the season.

Nebitci is bottom of the table and struggling against just about everyone else in the Yokary Liga this year. It could be a very long day for the home side this Saturday. I provide my Nebitci vs. Altyn Asyr prediction and betting pick below.

I’m actually surprised MyBookie has priced this game so favorably for the home side. Nebitci has not looked very good at all this season, while Altyn Asyr has looked back to its best in the last few games. Maybe the slow start to the campaign that the visitors made has influenced the odds slightly, but I would have still expected longer odds for Nebitci to attract any interest.

Nebitci has lost six of its seven games so far, with the only victory coming against a Sagadam team that started the season surprisingly sluggishly. The most recent defeat — at the hands of previously bottom-of-the-league Merw — showed that the team from Balkanabat looks like propping up the table in 2020.

The only slight positive is that Nebitci has scored more goals than half the league at the current time. But seeing as two of the four came in a 5-2 thrashing at the hands of Asgabat, it is difficult to find anything to suggest that Nebitci will be able to get anything from this weekend’s game.

Altyn Asyr, meanwhile, has stuck by its conservative approach to the game and has now started to pick up a few wins to keep Ahal on its toes at the top of the table. For all the talk of a crisis at the club, Altyn Asyr remains the only unbeaten side in the Yokary Liga after six rounds of fixtures.

Of course, for a team like Altyn Asyr to drop so many points in the opening games of the season is unheard of, and it does look like there will be an interesting title race in Turkmenistan this year. Another convincing win for the champions here should keep that going.

The odds are not really very attractive, but they are better value than might be expected for Altyn Asyr to beat bottom-of-the-table Nebitci. The difference between these two sides is simply too large to entertain the home side achieving a positive result from this fixture, so the away win (possibly as part of a larger parlay bet) has to be the way to go.
