Movistar Riders vs. c0ntact Odds, Prediction, and Pick for April 26th – ESL One: Road to Rio
The action in Group B of the ESL One European qualifiers continues today with a late clash between Movistar Riders and c0ntact Gaming.
The Spanish team shocked the enter CS:GO community by beating mouseports 2:0 but can they keep up with the tempo at this level? Their opponents haven’t been very impressive lately but still hold loads of experience of playing in the elite tournaments.
My Movistar Riders vs. c0ntact betting preview for today looks at the main betting markets for this tie and I also provide an overview of the teams’ current form.
Make sure you stay until the end since I lay out my betting prediction and a free pick.
Movistar Riders vs. c0ntact Odds

Here are the three main ones complete with the latest odds:
Total Maps Played
Movistar’s inspired performance against The MouZ has shortened the betting price for them but c0ntact remains the favorite here.
Can Serbian captain emi carry his team to a solid win against the early surprise package? Let’s look at both teams and try to figure that out.
Movistar Riders – Another Giant-Killing On the Cards?
The Spanish organization was high on confidence coming into the Road to Rio event but they had only played lower-tier teams for a long time.
Nobody was expecting they will make their mark so fast, especially after the opening fixture had them pinned against one of the top favorites.
However, mopoz, ALEX, and Brazilian captain steel stole the show and effectively limited some of the best players on the CS:GO scene like ropz and chrisj.
It was a fairytale start to life at the top for the Riders but there’s no time to dwell on past achievements as the games will be coming thick and fast.
And they will need to maintain that level if they are to challenge the rest of the pack.
c0ntact – Can They Kickstart a Good Run?
The team’s recent outings have not been the best. They couldn’t live with the higher-ranked teams at the Flashpoint event’s latter stages and their last win came against FunPlus Phoenix’s new-look roster on March 29th.
They were largely expected to make quick work of Copenhagen Flames in their opening ESL One: Road to Rio match but we were treated to another disappointing display from the team.
Captain emi put in a decent performance but players like EspiranTo, ottoNd, and SHiPZ need to step up their game if they are to make the playoffs.
Another loss here will severely cripple their chances of advancing from the group and the European organization knows this quite well.
Movistar Riders vs. c0ntact Prediction and Pick
The Riders looked good against mousesports but we shouldn’t get too carried away. Yes, it was a momentous achievement, however, this team still lacks the confidence and experience to consistently rival higher-ranked teams.
c0ntact have not had the best stretch but it’s also true that the schedule hasn’t been too lenient on them. They have faced some very tough opponents lately and will relish the chance to gun down an underdog.
Captain emi and his teammates understand that this is a must-win game and the disappointing result against CPH Flames should spur them on.
The odds for a comprehensive win for the favorite are exceptional and I am prepared to back them here.
The tournament has seen a lot of surprises and steel’s team won’t just lie down but I feel their opponent will be locked in here.
It’s a great matchup to gain some confidence so a 2:0 c0ntact win looks like a very likely scenario and you won’t get better odds than that.
