mousesports vs. G2 Odds, Prediction, and Pick for May 3rd – ESL One: Road to Rio
The most interesting tie in the European division of the ESL One qualifiers today is undoubtedly the one pinning together mousesports and G2.
These teams have a long history between them and they recently met when The MouZ dashed the Frenchmen’s hopes of advancing further at the ESL Pro League event.
However, things have changed a lot for these two organizations since then and my mousesports vs G2 betting preview for Sunday will try to figure out how this upcoming tie will pan out.
I take a look at the main betting markets and provide analysis of the teams’ recent form and some key statistics.
There is a free betting prediction and pick in the end so don’t go anywhere!
mousesports vs. G2 Odds
Let’s start with the latest odds for the three most popular markets that the top CS:GO betting sites usually roll out.

mousesports Team Analysis
If you haven’t been paying attention to the CS:GO scene recently, you’re probably wondering why chrisj and his teammates are entering this tie as a huge underdog.
Well, the truth is that since contesting the ESL Pro League final, this group has been completely unrecognizable.
Elite players like ropz, woxic, and frozen have become easy prey for teams in Group B of the European qualifiers and the team is looking at a 1-3 record currently.
There were three heavy defeats in there and the win against struggling c0ntact doesn’t feel like too much of a consolation right now.
These guys will need to wake up from their slumber and fast. A defeat here will practically put an end to their hopes of making the playoffs.
G2 Team Analysis
The Frenchmen may not have made it far at the Pro League but are doing very well in the current ESL One qualifying tournament.
They are sitting comfortably in second place just behind FaZe, which is the only team to beat G2 so far.
Captain nexa and his guys have rolled over both GODSENT and surprise package Movistar Riders, and were also able to withstand Copenhagen Flames’ advances in a three-round matchup.
They lost to The Mouz last time but will feel very confident coming into this tie as there’s never been a better time to face the Germans.
mousesports vs. G2 Prediction and Pick
The clock is ticking fast for chrisj and his team. If they fall here, they will have to pack their bags pretty early.
G2 will feel no compassion, though, as The MouZ did eliminate them from the Pro League just recently.
Overall, the German organization does have a better head-to-head record but it’s not like the Frenchmen haven’t won any of their last duels.
And they are playing some of their best Counter-Strike right now, while mousesports’ top guns are constantly firing blanks against much weaker teams.
Given that a lot of ties involving these teams have been settled in two rounds, I am leaning towards another 2:0 scoreline.
If The MouZ doesn’t show up, G2 will thrash them on any map. However, if ropz and the others decide that it’s time to kick off at this event, we’re probably in for a repeat of the recent ESL Pro League scenario.
The Under 2.5 market presents a very decent price in these circumstances, so I feel it’s the best way to approach this matchup.
This concludes my mousesports vs. G2 betting preview but we have a couple of more esports predictions and picks for today. Make sure you check them out as well!
