mousesports vs. G2 Betting Preview and Pick

Friday is the last day of the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 11, Europe. We have three games in Group C of the CS:GO tournament that will decide who qualifies for the playoffs directly, who will have a second shot in the additional deciders, and who goes home.

This mousesports vs. G2 betting preview is focused on the most exciting match of the day because both teams are fighting for the first place in the group. I analyze their chances to win the clash, explore the odds, and share my prediction and betting pick at the end.

Mousesports vs. G2 Odds and Markets

  • mousesports to win; -115
  • G2 to win; -115
  • mousesports (-1.5); +265
  • G2 (+1.5); -360
  • Under 2.5; -115
  • Over 2.5; -110

The Mousesports vs. G2 odds above are provided by Bovada, one of the top bookmakers for esports online. As you can see, we have a close match on our hands and the sportsbook can’t separate the two teams.

Mousesports – The Momentum Is Building

The start of ESL Pro League Season 11 was slow from mousesports. The team barely bet FaZe Clan and then lost against OG. It didn’t look good at this point, but the response to that defeat has been excellent.

The team beat Virtus.pro and TYLOO without losing a map to stay in the hunt for the top spot and it’s one of the three squads that have three victories and one loss before the last round.

It must be mentioned that the overall level displayed of the last two opponents was rather modest, so I’m not sure that mousesports can beat stronger teams with such ease.

G2 – No Consistency

We thought that G2 should comfortably be dominating most opponents in Group C. While the team has recorded three wins and only one defeat, it hasn’t been smooth sailing by any means.

The victories against TYLOO and FaZe Clan were unconvincing, while the loss against OG was nothing short of embarrassing. On the bright side, G2 looked much better against Virtus.pro in the previous round and might be finding some form when it matters the most.

The match against mousesports is an excellent test for the condition of both sides and their credential for the tournament as a whole.

Mousesports vs. G2 Pick

  • Over 2.5; -110

Both teams have been far from their best in ESL Pro League Season 11 so far, but have done enough still stay in a good position to qualify for the next round. Predicting the winner is hard here and I don’t feel confident about any side prevailing today.

That’s why my mousesports vs. G2 pick is to back the over 2.5 maps option. I don’t expect a clean victory for any of the teams, so the price of -110 for a long fight looks great.
