Mikhail Teteruk vs. Viktor Ivanov Betting Preview and Prediction

Two of the younger players in this year’s Setka Cup will face off today. This Mikhail Teteruk vs. Viktor Ivanov betting preview brings you the odds for the match, a look at the players’ recent form and concludes with my betting prediction and pick.

Tetetuk was able to come on top the last time he met Ivanov, so are we in for a repeat? Let’s first check the odds.

Mikhail Teteruk vs. Viktor Ivanov Odds
American Odds Decimal odds
Mikhail Teteruk to Win -105 1.95
Viktor Ivanov to Win -130 1.76

The bookmakers seem to think that Ivanov has a slight edge over his Ukrainian opponent. However, underestimating Teteruk will be a big mistake here.

Before I move on to my prediction, let’s see how both pros have been faring lately.

Mikhail Teteruk vs. Viktor Ivanov Current Form

Both players have posted some dominant performances lately. They each handed Kozachenko two heavy defeats at the start of the week. Ivanov also recorded two more solid displays against Kapinus. Teteruk was on course to achieve the same, but fell short of the objective.

Although beating Kapinus 3:0 in their first Monday matchup, he allowed his opponent to make a comeback and clinch an unlikely 3:2 victory in the second.

However, Teteruk bounced back quickly from the disappointment and wrapped up the day with a superb 3:1 victory against today’s opponent.

Ivanov still has the edge in past meetings but the tide may be turning if Teteruk’s last performance against him is anything to go by.

Mikhail Teteruk vs. Viktor Ivanov Prediction and Pick

These guys are both in good form right now but I feel Teteruk is a bit sharper. Sure, he underestimated Kapinus a bit but I believe he has learned his lesson and the performance against Ivanov on Monday was evidence of that.

Ivanov will fancy his chances after racking up four straight wins prior to the loss against the Ukrainian and he still holds a 4-2 record against him.

However, I believe Teteruk has a psychological advantage on his side and that is huge in such close ties. On top of that, the odds represent great value so that would be my final betting pick.

  • Mikhail Teteruk
