MIBR vs. MAD Lions Odds, Prediction, and Pick for April 19th – Flashpoint Grand Final

It’s time to say goodbye to the first edition of the CS:GO Flashpoint tournament but not before the Grand Final is settled today.

Both MAD Lions and MIBR deservedly reached this stage and the decisive tie between them promises to once again be hugely exciting. There are, of course, plenty of betting opportunities on the horizon and this is exactly what I focus on in this post.

The Brazilians did endure a couple of disappointments en route to the final but have shown great form throughout the tournament.

They already faced MAD Lions in the playoffs and sent them packing to the lower bracket. It seems like the team really finds its mojo when playing at this event and captain FalleN and fer both have a good shot of winning the MVP prize.

It’s been a very positieve experience for MIBR so far and they will come into this tie with a lot of confidence. And even the elite squads have a big problem when this team is on a roll.

The Lions clawed their way back to the grand final with an impressive win against HAVU yesterday. I felt like the loss against MIBR and the Finns’ form will be a big challenge for them but they were once again immaculate.

HAVU could’ve nicked the first round and they have only themselves to blame as they couldn’t make an impact in the clutch moments. However, credit to the Danes for taking full advantage of that and quickly brushing aside their opponent on Mirage in the second round. 

I think the team will feel relieved that they are not going into this tie as a huge favorite and have a great chance of announcing themselves to the top scene by clinching the first Flashpoint title.

This will be another spectacle that is very hard to call. We can’t really rely on any head-to-head stats since these teams met for the first time this week.

I’m leaning towards MIBR since they have more experience in such situations but the Lions have been the most relentless force in this tournament.

I was surprised to see HAVU not waving Mirage and I am curious about whether the Brazilians will make the same mistake. It’s obvious that MAD Lions have a great advantage on the map and I doubt that FalleN and company will easily gift them that. Especially after getting blasted on it a couple of days back.

Backing an outright winner here doesn’t look like the best option so I’m going for another three-round game. I still think that MIBR will edge the tie as a whole but the Danes will be more than a match even if Mirage is off the table.
