Captain FalleN and his team had a tournament to forget at the ESL One qualifiers this year. Their 3-2 record wasn’t enough to push them to the playoffs and they had to settle for an early exit.

Sadly, the organization is not the CS:GO juggernaut it once was despite boasting ample quality on the roster right now.

They showed flashes of their potential at the inaugural Flashpoint event but still fell to MAD Lions in the Grand Final and overall, the players have been very inconsistent at every competition they’ve played this season.

Needless to say, they will need a top performance here and it’s high time for players like fer and TACO to really stake a claim.

However, this is easier said than done when it comes to facing the lightning-paced FURIA.

The organization definitely holds the bragging rights in Brazil right now.

I can’t remember the last time MIBR defeated them and I’m sure captain arT and his teammates are rubbing their hands at the prospect of dishing out another heavy loss to their rivals.

Most recently, FURIA fell to Gen.G in the Grand Final of the ESL One: Road to Rio event but despite the disappointment, they will feel very confident against their fellow countrymen today.

Gen.G is a very tactically astute and captain daps knows exactly how to get under the skin of teams like FURIA.

MIBR doesn’t possess the same ingenuity on that front and that is exactly why top marksmen KSCERATO and yuurih have been so successful against them.

I have been waiting for a MIBR win against FURIA for a long time now and was entertaining the possibility of backing the underdogs simply on account of the high odds and the fact that it sounds logical for them to spring a surprise at some point.

However, the truth is that the betting value lies with FURIA.

I don’t see how FalleN will find the resources to stage a similar performance to the one Gen.G produced at the ESL One: Road to Rio final. And that seems to be the only to stop FURIA right now.

If you face them in the open, they will decimate you.

MIBR can also play that game but simply lack the confidence and quality in their ranks to match FURIA’s blitzkrieg tactics.

I believe another dominant win is on the way and am going for the handicap.
