MAD Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix Odds, Prediction, and Pick for April 9th – Flashpoint Season 1

The playoffs of the inaugural season of Flashpoint begin today and we have a lot of interesting matches this week. It all opens up with the clash between MAD Lions and FunPlus Phoenix, two teams that had a completely different fate so far.
I go through their performance and analyze other factors, before finishing this MAD Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix betting preview with my prediction and a recommended betting pick.
MAD Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix Odds
- MAD Lions to win; -400
- FunPlus Phoenix to win; +307
- MAD Lions (-1.5); -128
- FunPlus Phoenix (+1.5); +101
- Under 2.5; -189
- Over 2.5; +145
The Mad Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix odds above can be found at SportsBetting.ag, one of my favorite sites when it comes to esports betting and CS:GO, in particular. The bookmaker offers around 40 different markets for this one, so you can find plenty of opportunities.
MAD Lions Team Analysis
There’s little doubt that MAD Lions is one of the big favorites to win Flashpoint Season 1. The team lost its opening match but then proceeded to beat every single opponent and won both groups in the previous stage.
That was enough for the top seed in the playoffs and MAD Lions will start the knockouts against FunPlus Phoenix. They beat the same opponent comfortably in the final of Group C and I’m sure that the team will be confident in another victory on Thursday.
FunPlus Phoenix Team Analysis
I don’t think anyone expected to see FunPlus Phoenix qualify for the playoffs of Flashpoint Season 1. The team went through significant roster changes and even had to forfeit in the first round because of that, losing the opportunity to earn more points.
Something special was required in Phase 2 and it looked unlikely when FunPlus Phoenix was beaten by c0ntact and sent to the losers’ bracket in the first round. That’s when the squad found some inspiration to win two in a row and qualify for the finals.
Despite the defeat against MAD Lions, that was still enough for the last spot in playoffs. Most importantly, the new members of the team showed a lot of promise for the future.
MAD Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix Prediction and Pick
- MAD Lions (-1.5); -128
While FunPlus Phoenix improved immensely throughout the tournament and shouldn’t be underestimated, I still don’t think the team is strong enough to challenge MAD Lions. My prediction is for a similar match like the one in the previous stage when the Spaniards demolished their opponent.
The price of -128 for the favorite to cover the -1.5 map advantage looks is the best MAD Lions vs. FunPlus Phoenix betting pick available.
