Everyone was shocked by the opening defeat of the Doosan Bears, but the champions quickly proved they are ready to fight. The hard-earned victory over the LG Twins in the second round was followed by a dominant victory in the third.

The improvement is visible and that doesn’t look good for their next opponent. KT Wiz Suwon lost three times against the Lotte Giants and the team’s pitchers struggled badly in all games. I don’t think they will be able to contain the Bears either, so this could be a massacre.

I don’t think I’ll shock anyone by backing the Doosan Bears to win this one. It took some time, but the champions look ready now and a team like KT Wiz Suwon shouldn’t be able to stop them. The big question here is if the underdog can actually keep the score respectable.

My simple answer would be now, though, because all the momentum is with the Bears and they should be able to establish their authority from the early innings on Friday.

Momentum is a real thing in the KBO, and I’m looking to ride it in the matchup between KT Wiz and Doosan on Friday.

Suwon got surrendered 14 hits to the Giants on Thursday – while the Bears pounded out 14 of their own hits against the Twins. Look for Doosan to handle business in the opening game of this series.
