KBO Predictions for Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020

Tuesday brought us a lot of action in the KBO and some teams exploded on their opponents. The good news for the losing sides is that they will have the chance to bounce back immediately in game two on Wednesday.

I share my impressions and analysis in the KBO predictions for round 26 of the leading South Korean baseball competition. The post doesn’t include any odds or betting picks, because the lines of the leading bookmakers online are not up yet.

They might be available by the time you’re reading this and I recommend you to check the following baseball betting sites for more information.

And here’s a complete list of the games covered in my KBO predictions for Wednesday, June 3rd.

  • Lotte Giants vs. KIA Tigers
  • Doosan Bears vs. KT Wiz Suwon
  • SK Wyverns vs. NC Dinos
  • Samsung Lions vs. LG Twins
  • Kiwoom Heroes vs. Hanwha Eagles

Lotte Giants to Beat KIA Tigers

If you read my KBO predictions for the first game of this series, you probably know that I highlighted KIA’s ability to hit hard every now and then as the only path to success. Well, the Tigers hit 6 runs in the fifth and sixth innings combined which was enough to break the opposition.

The game was close up to this point and I would argue that the Giants looked more likely to win, but that’s what the Tigers do sometimes.

I think that Lotte can cope better in the second match and will be more careful. I also believe that the Giants can improve their batting significantly, so I will back them to win on Wednesday.

KT Wiz Suwon to Beat Doosan Bears

The most entertaining game on Tuesday was between KT Wiz Suwon and the Doosan Bears. I expect more of the same for the rest of the series and it would be hard picking a winner. The reigning champions started the opener with a 10-1 run in the first three innings, but Suwon struck back late to get the score down to 11-8.

The Bears managed to hold on to their lead despite looking vulnerable in the second part of the match. I believe that Suwon will continue pushing the opponent and should be able to battle to a victory in game two of the series on Wednesday.

NC Dinos to Beat SK Wyverns

I’m pretty happy that I called the surprise in game one between those two in my previous batch of KBO predictions. The SK Wyverns are a different team compared to the mess at the start of the season and they might be a force to be reckoned with from now on.

I would say that the 8-2 scoreline in the series opener is slightly misleading, but the underdog certainly deserved to win. We already saw the Dinos bounce back after a heavy defeat last week, though, so I think that might happened again.

The KBO leaders have been excellent for most of the season so far and they should be able to get back to winning ways on Wednesday.

LG Twins to Beat Samsung Lions

I knew that Samsung has improved recently and I expected a close game one against the Twins, but I thought that LG would edge it. Instead, the Lions held their opponent to zero runs which was enough for a hard-fought 2-0 victory in their favor.

The team displayed stellar pitching which hasn’t been the case so far in the season. That’s why I expect better from the favorite in the next game. The Twins have the better players and should be able to bounce back immediately on Wednesday.

Kiwoom Heroes to Beat Hanwha Eagles

The opening match between Kiwoom and Hanwha was the most-one sided clash in the previous round of the competition. The Heroes dominated the opponent from the first inning and never looked in any danger.

They registered 15 runs and 17 hits at the end, leaving no doubt they are better than the Eagles. I don’t see how the underdog could close the gap by Wednesday and I have no other choice but to back the Kiwoom Heroes once again.
