KBO Predictions for Thursday, June 11 (Round 33)
The last round of KBO games was chaotic and disrupted by rain. One game was canceled and another finished early, so let’s hope the weather will be better on Thursday and round 33 of the top baseball competition in South Korea will go through as planned.
I operate under this presumption in my KBO predictions for Thursday and share my analysis for the upcoming matches. You won’t find odds or picks in this post, because the bookmakers haven’t released their lines at the time I’m writing this.
However, the following baseball betting sites might offer the games when you’re reading, so make sure to check them out.
With that in mind, here’s the complete list of games I cover with KBO predictions for round 33.
- Hanwha Eagles vs. Lotte Giants
- KIA Tigers vs. KT Wiz Suwon
- Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos
- SK Wyverns vs. LG Twins
- Kiwoom Heroes vs. Samsung Lions
Lotte Giants to Beat Hanwha Eagles
I’m not sure what to say here, the Eagles looked competitive for a short period at the start of the season but that’s long gone now. Hanwha suffered another heavy defeat in the second game against the Giants and failed in every way possible.
The pitching is laughable right now and the only reason why the Eagles score some runs is related to the fact that the opponent can easily afford mistakes. The only logical choice for my first KBO prediction for Thursday is to back Lotte for another victory.
KIA Tigers to Beat KT Wiz Suwon
The second game of the series was delayed because of the rain and was declared finished after only five innings for the same reason. In the short window of acceptable weather, the KIA Tigers managed to build a 10-0 lead, so they deservedly registered a victory.
I’m not sure what happened with KT Wiz Suwon, but the team looked completely lost. In fact, it could’ve been even uglier if this game went the distance. After such a below-par performance by Suwon, I feel I have no other choice but to go with the Tigers for Thursday’s game.
Doosan Bears to Beat NC Dinos
The Doosan Bears did it again! They lost the opening game of the series against the Dinos, only to come back and smash them by 9-1 on Wednesday. I don’t think that the clash was as one-sided as the scoreline suggests, but the reigning champions certainly were better.
They haven’t managed to keep the same level in all of their KBO games so far and I’m not 100% sure they will on Thursday. And yet, the momentum from the crushing triumph in the second match should carry the side to another win.
LG Twins to Beat the SK Wyverns
The game between the Twins and the Wyverns was initially delayed and then canceled altogether because of the rain. That’s why I don’t have to say much and stand by my selection in the previous batch of KBO predictions.
It should be close and I expect a slight improvement in the batting department by IG which should be enough to win on Thursday.
Kiwoom Heroes to Beat Samsung Lions
I picked the Kiwoom Heroes in game 2 with the argument that this is the team that has won more close games. The Lions made sure this one wasn’t that close, mostly by keeping the opponent at bay for most of the match.
The Heroes had only four hits and one run which is the main reason why they lost. On the bright side, they didn’t allow the Lions too many chances on the other end which is a good base for the final game of the series. It’s hard to pick a winner here but I believe that Kiwoom can show more in the third encounter.
