For the second day in a row, the rain didn’t ruin the KBO fixtures and we had a full round of games from the top-tier baseball competition in South Korea. There were plenty of runs on Saturday and it was a feast for the neutral fans.
I expect something similar on Sunday as you can see from my KBO predictions below. They feature a short analysis for each fixture, but you won’t find any odds here for the simple reason that they are yet to be released at the moment I’m writing this post.
The prices might be up by the time you’re reading this, though, so make sure to check our best KBO betting sites below for more information.
Here are all games included in my KBO predictions for Sunday, August 2nd.
Hanwha Eagles vs. LG Twins
KIA Tigers vs. Lotte Giants
Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos
SK Wyverns vs. KT Wiz Suwon
Kiwoom Heroes vs. Samsung Lions
LG Twins to Beat Hanwha Eagles
The opening game between LG and Hanwha saw a total of three runs, but the second was a wild ride. The Twins scored six in the opening inning, but their opponents somehow managed to stay close and the put the favorite under pressure.
The score was 7-5 at the start of the eight, but LG found two unanswered runs in that inning and that was enough to break the Eagles. It was a valiant effort from the underdog, but I don’t think that Hanwha can stay close again on Sunday.
The final game should be relatively easy for the Twins and I prefer to back them in my KBO predictions for the next round.
KIA Tigers to Beat Lotte Giants
The second game between Lotte and KIA started with a bang. Both teams traded runs early on, but the Giants managed to keep the tempo, while their opponents faded. The 7-3 victory was deserved, but the score is somewhat flattering for Lotte.
The Tigers had their chances and I expect more runs from them in the final clash of the series. This one should be close, but I believe that KIA is the more consistent side and that should be enough to register another win on Sunday.
NC Dinos to Beat Doosan Bears
The first two games between the Dinos and the Bears have been a joy to watch and I can’t wait for the third clash on Sunday! The teams traded a lot of blows so far, splitting the opening two encounters after plenty of twits and turns.
In both cases, the winner was decided late in the game and we might see something similar on Sunday. I advise you to be careful with this one, as it could go either way. And yet, I believe that the Dinos have been more consistent and that’s why I prefer to back them.
KT Wiz Suwon to Beat SK Wyverns
KT Wiz scored exactly 11 runs in both games of the series against SK so far. Add to that another 44 conceded by the Wyverns against the LG twins earlier this week and it doesn’t look good. The team is struggling badly right now and I don’t think that will change on Sunday.
Suwon has the means to punish every mistake and we should see another victory in game three of the series. I don’t think it will be as comfortable as the first two, but KT Wiz should be able to prevail once again.
Kiwoom Heroes to Beat Samsung Lions
The Heroes hit double digits for a second game in a row against the Lions and it’s obvious that Samsung is struggling to contain the opponent right now. I don’t see how this will change on Sunday, so I expect plenty of runs from Kiwoom.
Unless the Lions somehow explode and score a lot of runs on their own, I believe that another victory for the Heroes is the most logical outcome. They had 23 hits and 22 runs on Saturday, so it’s hard to ignore the stats.
