I’m pretty happy with my KBO predictions for Friday and I hope I’ll have the same success with Saturday’s games. The openers of the latest series went pretty much as expected, but I believe we might see some surprises in the second game.
As always, this post is about pure KBO predictions and there are no odds or picks included. The reason is that I’m writing this right after Friday’s games and most bookmakers don’t offer lines yet. I recommend you to follow these several betting sites for the odds, as they are usually among the fastest online.
I expected a win for the SK Wyverns in my KBO predictions for Friday and the team delivered. And yet, the Eagles didn’t go down without a fight and stayed dangerous throughout the game. Unfortunately for them, their pitching let them down.
If Hanwha can keep scoring and improve on that end, the team could win on Saturday. However, we haven’t seen many games in which the Eagles have managed to do that and I don’t expect it to happen in game two of the series. Instead, I believe that the Wyverns should be able to register another victory.
KT Wiz Suwon to Beat Kiwoom Heroes
On the surface, the first game of the series was easily won by Kiwoom, The 5-1 scoreline says so, but I think that the Heroes had a lot of problems with their pitching. On another day, Suwon could’ve easily found way more runs.
The lack of consistency has been a problem for Kiwoom and I’m not convinced that it will disappear anytime soon. KT Wiz Suwon has the potential to win a game in this series and I won’t be shocked if that happens on Saturday.
LG Twins to Beat KIA Tigers
The Twins proved me right on Friday and won against the Tigers. The team looks confident right now and we saw that clearly. LG showed efficient batting and managed to limit the opportunities of the opposition for most of the game.
It’s hard to see how the KIA Tigers can turn it around. They need to find ways to score more runs and I don’t think that Twins will let them. The team has so much momentum right now that I feel obliged to back LG to win again on Saturday.
Lotte Giants to Beat Doosan Bears
I mentioned at the beginning of my KBO predictions post that the tables might turn for some teams on Saturday and this is one of them. The Doosan Bears won the opening match against Lotte by 4-2 and I’m not sure how the Giants scored only two runs.
They had 10 hits in total and looked dangerous throughout the game. If they can keep it up on Saturday, I won’t be surprised by a win in their favor. The champions are far from convincing right now and incapable of starting a strong winning run.
Even their batting has fallen apart this week and while the Giants have their own trouble, I believe they can prevail in the second game of the series.
NC Dinos to Beat Samsung Lions
NC looked to be in control of the game against Samsung after the first six innings. The Dinos held a healthy 4-0 lead and were poised for another victory. That’s when the Lions scored three runs in the seventh and another two in the night to complete an unlikely comeback.
The team has certainly improved and deserved this one, but I’m not sure if repeating that triumph will be possible on Saturday. The Dinos have mostly themselves to blame for the opening defeat and I expect a more focused performance this time around.
They are the much better team and unless they underestimate the Lions again, it should be a comfortable victory for the KBO leaders.
