KBO Predictions for Friday, May 29 (Round 22)

| May 28, 2020 6:26 am PDT

The KBO continues on Friday and we will see all teams in action. The day features the start of five new series of the South Korean baseball league that will open the door to plenty of betting opportunities over the next several days.

I’m sure that many of you will be eager to try and make some money. The goal of my KBO predictions for Friday is to help by giving you some pointers. There are no picks and recommended bets in this post, because the odds are not out yet at the time I’m writing this.

I recommend you to check the following bookmakers for early KBO lines.

Here are all games covered in my KBO predictions for round 22 of the competition.

  • Hanwha Eagles vs. SK Wyverns
  • KT Wiz Suwon vs. Kiwoom Heroes
  • LG Twins vs. KIA Tigers
  • Lotte Giants vs. Doosan Bears
  • NC Dinos vs. Samsung Lions

SK Wyverns to Beat Hanwha Eagles

The SK Wyverns are still last in the KBO standings, but they have shown some signs of improvement recently. The team won one game in the series against both the Bears and the Tigers, keeping the other encounters rather tight.

The pitching of the Wyverns looks much better and they now have an excellent opportunity to find more victories against Hanwha. The Eagles have lost five in a row and they simply don’t score enough runs.

I expect a rather close match, but the Wyverns have the momentum and should be able to start the series with a win on Friday.

Kiwoom Heroes to Beat KT Wiz Suwon

The Kiwoom Heroes have lost a lot of steam lately and they look vulnerable. On the other hand, they just played the best team in South Korea and looked competitive for large periods of the series, despite losing all three games versus the NC Dinos.

The Heroes enter the clash against Suwon as the underdogs, but I think they have what it takes to surprise the opponent. KT Wiz had a lot of trouble against the KIA Tigers and the pitching has been an issue.

I think that Kiwoom has the means to take advantage of that and start the series with a victory on Friday.

LG Twins to Beat KIA Tigers

If I have to select the most improved team this week, I would probably go with LG. The Twins have looked excellent in all areas, scoring runs for fun and containing most of their opponents rather comfortably.

The balanced performances of the team were enough to win four in a row and another victory might be on the cards. The KIA Tigers are a tricky opponent and their pitching is almost elite, but I still thank the Twins are just on another level right now and should be able to overcome them.

Doosan Bears to Beat Lotte Giants

I must admit I have no idea what to do with these two and this is by far the hardest of my KBO predictions for Friday. Both the Bears and the Giants have been wildly inconsistent in all aspects of their game.

You can see them scoring for fun one day and struggling to hit the ball on the other. It’s hard to trust any of the teams at this point, but I have noticed that the Bears usually respond with a victory after losing this season.

They were beaten by the Wyverns on Thursday and the Giants are struggling too right now, so going for Doosan on Friday is my choice.

NC Dinos to Beat Samsung Lions

The Samsung Lions have won three of the last four games in the league, but I simply can’t go against the NC Dinos in my KBO predictions right now. The leaders have managed to find all kinds of ways to win games.

Sometimes, they display explosive battings and on other occasions, they simply suffocate the opponent and don’t let him find any runs.

I don’t see how the Lions can stop them in the series opener, especially considering how inconsistent Samsung has been so far in the season.
