KBO Predictions for Friday, June 12 (Round 34)
It’s time for the start of new series in the KBO and some of the teams desperately need that after their performance so far in the week. Several sides in the country have already pulled ahead in the race of the playoffs.
And yet, there are more than enough games left, so there is time to climb the rankings. Friday brings us round 34 of the competition and there will be five matches on the day. I cover them all in my KBO predictions.
Since the odds of the bookmakers are not yet up at the time of writing, I won’t include betting picks or recommended prices. And yet, it’s possible that some of the following recommended baseball betting sites will have their lines up when you are reading this, so feel free to take a look.
And here are all games that I analyze in my KBO predictions for Friday.
- KIA Tigers vs. SK Wyverns
- KT Wiz Suwon vs. Samsung Lions
- Lotte Giants vs LG Twins
- Doosan Bears vs. Hanwha Eagles
- Kiwoom Heroes vs. NC Dinos
KIA Tigers to Beat SK Wyverns
The first of my KBO predictions for Round 34 is probably one of the hardest too. Most games of both sides are rather tough to get because they have been wildly inconsistent. The Tigers can kill anyone within an inning or two sometimes, but often fail to deliver any threat.
As for the Wyverns, they have improved slightly after a bad start in the KBO but not nearly enough to trust them against decent teams like the Tigers. In fact, I think I like KIA’s chances better in the opener on Friday.
Samsung Lions to Beat KT Wiz Suwon
I believe that the Samsung Lions are one of the teams in the second half of the KBO table that have a realistic chance of qualifying for the next stage of the competition. The side has been better recently, winning the last two games against a decent opponent like the Kiwoom Heroes.
KT Wiz is next and the team from Suwon has been struggling as of late. A quick burst of twelve runs in three consecutive innings was enough for a victory against the KIA Tigers on Thursday, but the first two games of the series have been a disaster.
KT Wiz Suwon has been below-par in most statistical categories in the past week, so I believe that the Lions should be able to snatch the opener on Friday.
Lotte Giants to Beat LG Twins
It’s hard to determine how good the Lotte Giants are right now based on the past week or two. The team had a lot of ups and downs, but had a chance to build a nice winning streak against the struggling Hanwha Eagles.
The three victories against the underdog came on top of another three against KT Wiz Suwon. The overall spirit of the Giants should be high and that should help them in the opener against LG.
The Twins played twice on Thursday because of the weather on the previous day and the changes in the schedule. I think they might be overwhelmed for the first match and I’m with the Giants on Friday.
Doosan Bears to Beat Hanwha Eagles
The Hanwha Eagles have been the punching bag of the KBO recently, losing the last six games by huge margins. I don’t think that something can change against the Doosan Bears. The reigning champions are not the most consistent side, but they are way better than the next opponent.
The only logical prediction here is that the Doosan Bears will crush the Hanwha Eagles not only on Friday but in every single game from the series.
NC Dinos to Beat Kiwoom Heroes
I think this one is relatively easy to predict as well. The NC Dinos have been the best team since the start of the KBO and their latest series against the Doosan Bears confirmed that once again. The reigning champions were beaten twice and NC looked great for most of the time.
The Dinos should be able to easily handle the Kiwoom Heroes who have faded lately and have lost three out of the last four games in the league.
