KBO Predictions and Analysis for Round 6, May 10, 2020

Saturday wasn’t the best today for the South Korean baseball league as three of the five games on the schedule were postponed because of bad weather. Let’s hope for better conditions and more actions on Sunday.
My traditional post with KBO predictions will be slightly weird today. I share my picks for the series that took place on Saturday because there’s new information there available.
As for the rest, my stance hasn’t changed since yesterday, so I recommend you to check my KBO predictions for Round 5 for more information on them.
With that in mind, let’s see what the other two encounters could offer on Sunday.
Hanhwa Eagles to Beat Kiwoom Heroes
The Kiwoom Heroes have been playing with fire in the first two games against Hanhwa. The favorite barely edged them and the second one was even worse than the first. The 5-3 scoreline somewhat hides the fact that the Eagles registered 10 hits and looked dangerous for most of the game.
A short burst in the sixth inning made the difference for the Heroes and that’s the only positive from this match. The Eagles should be confident in their chances based on what we’ve seen so far and I think they will be able to snatch the final game of the series.
Samsung Lions to Beat KIA Tigers
In my last batch of KBO predictions, I backed the KIA Tigers to win against the Lions and it looked good in the first four innings. That’s when Samsung hit four runs and broke the opponent mentally. Another was added in the seventh and the eight produced nine, all in favor of the Lions! That’s the most in the season and was more than enough to seal the victory.
While the 14-2 scoreline flatters the Lions, it must be mentioned that the team’s offense was flying for the second part of the game which was more than enough. I’m still not entirely convinced by them, but the Tigers are obviously eager to prove they are the worst team in the KBO.
I honestly see no other choice but to go for the Lions this time around. The momentum should carry the team to another victory on Sunday.
