How and Where to Bet on the 2020 League of Legends World Championship

The biggest League of Legends tournament of the year starts this week and I’m sure that many of you know what I’m talking about. The LoL World Championship 2020 will gather the best teams from all around the globe in the ultimate showdown with millions on the line.
We’ll have the chance to watch some excellent games and even make some money by placing a wager here and there. If you are interested in that last part, my LoL Worlds 2020 betting guide is here to help.
It includes a list of the best betting sites for the competition, futures odds, tips on the different markets, picks, and more. The information will be updated regularly to stay relevant throughout the 2020 LoL World Championship Main Event.
Here are the different sections, so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.
Where to Bet on the 2020 LoL Worlds
The list above includes the best LOL Worlds 2020 betting sites based on various important criteria such as safety, bonuses and promotions, League of Legends odds, mobile betting, and more.
The recommended sportsbooks above work under a proper gambling license and have installed the latest security measures like SSL encryptions. That provides a safe betting environment for their customers which is an excellent starting point.
If you add the high odds and the good variety of markets for the LoL World Championships, it’s easy to see why they are great for betting on the tournament. There are also other perks such as a smooth mobile version and plenty of deals that bring extra cash.
LoL Worlds Pre-Tournament Odds
The LoL Worlds 2020 betting odds of most sportsbooks are already up and they provide some interesting futures markets. Let’s take a look at them.
Outright Winner Odds
As you can see, Top Esports and Damwon are the most likely winners of the LoL Worlds 2020 according to the betting sites and that’s hardly a surprise based on their performance in the past several months. They are the top teams from the top regions in the world.
Region of Winner Odds
The Chinese teams have looked head and shoulders above the rest of the competition which is why the bookies expect one of them to lift the LoL World Championship 2020. Let’s not forget that teams from the country are the 2018 and 2019 champions.
Winners Group Odds
The best LoL teams in the world are in Groups B and D, so the champion could very well be from one of them. I would pay special attention to group B that features JD Gaming and Damwon Gaming, two of the big favorites.
Lol World Championship Betting Tips for 2020
I will be working hard to deliver LoL Words 2020 betting tips and predictions both in the build-up to the tournament and after it starts. This where you can find them and I will also link to my more detailed post about each pick.
Pre-Tournament Predictions
Here are my LoL World Championship 2020 predictions for the main futures market before the start of the tournament.
JD Gaming to win the LoL Worlds 2020
The last two editions of the League of Legends World Championship Main Event were won by Chinese teams and I believe this trend will continue. Top Esports is the big favorite, but I believe that JD Gaming can come on top.
The team won the LPL Spring Edition and pushed TE all the way in the final of the Summer Edition, so I JD will be full of confidence in the upcoming tournament and won’t be under the same pressure as its main contender.
A team from LPL to win the LoL Worlds 2020
The likes of Top Esports and JD Gaming are just so good and the only team is on a similar level is Damwon Gaming. Still, the Chinese region is sending two of the three top favorites and already won in 2018 and 2019.
Betting Picks
You can find detailed previews of many LoL Worlds matches in our esports picks section. Here are my latest suggestions.
- Suning to beat DAMWON Gaming; +196
Latest News and Updates

We now know the names of the finalists and no one is shocked to see DAMWON Gaming versus an LPL team. However, the Chinese squad wasn’t supposed to be Suning. The guys deserves all the credit in the world for getting to the last match.
The two best League of Legends teams in the world will take the stage in Shanghai. Only one will Take Over.

Tune in to the Finals of #Worlds2020 on Saturday, October 31, at 3AM PT / 11AM CET / 6PM CST at https://t.co/Q5eVg1svYi! pic.twitter.com/ggUitqWR9eMost people expect a victory for DAMWON, but underestimating Suning might be a huge mistake.

There are only three matches left in the 2020 LoL Worlds and not many people will be shocked to see Top Esports and DAMWON Gaming still alive in the tournament. The two big favorites are still here, alongside G2 Esports and Suning.

The quarterfinals of the Worlds take place this week and we have some juicy encounters on the line.

— LoL Esports (@lolesports) October 11, 2020The all-Chinese clash between Sunning and JD Gaming is one that instantly catches the eye, as well as the Korean battle between DAMWON and DRX.

The first two groups of the LoL Worlds 2020 Main Event are done and the teams we expected to see in the knockouts have progressed. Suning was able to overcome G2 for the top spot in group A, while DAMWON finished first, followed by JDG Gaming.
And yet, the South Korean giants were defeated by JDG in the last game which showed they are not unbeatable.

The first three days of the 2020 LoL Worlds Main even pretty much confirmed that the Asian teams are likely to dominate the tournament. The likes of DAMWON, Top Esports, and Gen.G have been strong, but G2 Esports have looked scary as well.
It’s still early days, though, so there’s more than enough time for changes. Remember that the LoL World Championship is a marathon, not a spring. The top teams will be able to adapt to the best strategies of the opponents and find ways to counter them, so several good games at the start mean nothing.

The Play-In is done and we know the last two teams that qualify for the Main Event. Not many will be shocked to hear that LGD Gaming are going to the next stage, but Unicorns of Love were expected to go home.

— LoL Esports (@lolesports) September 30, 2020It’s nice to see some teams upset the odds and I can’t wait for the next phase of the LoL World Championship 2020.

The LoL Worlds 2020 Play-In has been hectic so far and two of the supposedly top teams almost got knocked out after the group stages! Both LGD and MAD Lions were close to elimination, but are still alive and fighting for a place in the Main Event.
The only favorite that performed as expected was Team Liquid and the North Americans are through after a tiebreaker, alongside PSG Talon that was the other group winner.
- September 16

We know twenty of the teams that will be part of the LoL Worlds 2020 and the last four will be determined during this Play-Ins this weekend. The action features ten League of Legends squads from different regions that will come through a group stage and elimination matches to fight for their place in the Main Event.
