How and Where to Bet on Miss Universe 2021

| May 13, 2021 10:41 am PDT

After a one-year hiatus, the Miss Universe competition is back. The greatest pageant in existence returns on May 16th, 2021 with the 2020 installment.

No, you read that right. The year is 2021, but this is technically Miss Universe 2020, and the producers of this contest will probably regret making that call.

Seriously, the Miss Universe marketing expert has to be super annoyed by this.

The nice thing is the best pageant ever run is back, and 74 beautiful women will compete to be the next Miss Universe.

Oh, and you can bet on who will win Miss Universe 2021, so together, you have got yourself one heck of a Sunday, my friends.

If you have any desire to bet on Miss Universe this year, join me as I break down the best Miss Universe betting sites, the top threats, some sleepers, and offer my ultimate 2021 Miss Universe prediction.

Where to Bet on Miss Universe 2021

Before you can bet on who will win Miss Universe 2021, you need to find out where to bet on Miss Universe 2021.

There is a laundry list of criteria that goes into picking a go-to site to bet on Miss Universe and all other entertainment betting markets, but if you’re asking me (and you kind of are), I suggest having numerous sites to lean on.

Why? For these three reasons.

  • Pricing
  • Wager versatility
  • Payment methods

Those are the three big bugaboos for a lot of users, as different sites will often not have the same odds, won’t showcase the same props, and will also process deposits and withdrawals differently.

It is up to you how you allow any of that to sway you (and don’t leave out customer service, site interface, and/or bonuses and promotions), but the Miss Universe betting sites listed above are all excellent options.

Some are ideal for betting versatility, others might offer superior pricing, and there will be some that have so many payment options that you do not even need to worry about it.

The best part about this list of Miss Universe betting sites? They’re all reliable and trustworthy.

You can pick and choose between the lot, but no matter which site you call home for your 2021 Miss Universe betting needs, you know you’ll be in good hands. Ideally, you now have a good idea as to where to bet on Miss Universe 2021.

Miss South Africa+750

Miss Puerto Rico+1400

Beyond discovering where to bet on the 2021 Miss Universe pageant, you may want to look at who might win. Above are the top-10 contenders to win Miss Universe 2021 in terms of odds.

As noted, there are 74 women in this content in all, so if you want a full list of betting options, just check out some of the Miss Universe 2021 betting sites I broke down.

Miss Mexico enters as the odds-on favorite, with the 26-year-old Andrea Meza hoping to win the crown. She is followed by Miss Colombia (Laura Victoria Olascuaga), and together they are the only two contestants with odds better than +700.

This still feels like a pretty wide-open field, as five women are within the +1000 threshold. You don’t see all of the 2021 Miss Universe odds here, but 19 and all are priced within the +2000 range, as well.

Does that mean there is value to nab here for bettors, or should you just put all your money on Miss Mexico? I am sure you could argue either way, but no matter the bet, you can turn $100 into at least $600 right now if you’re correct with your prediction.

To help you better formulate that bet, let’s take a look at the top contenders and sleeper picks worth investing in for Miss Universe 2021.

Top 2021 Miss Universe Contenders

Okay, so you know which 2021 Miss Universe betting sites look good, and you have some odds to consider, but who will win Miss Universe 2021?

As I said, there are honestly quite a few viable contenders that could win this thing.

Truth be told, you just never know who will impress the judges when the show goes live, and all of these women have been successful in pageants in the past.

They are all capable of winning, but bettors need to decide who is the most capable. As things stand, here are the women I think are the best bets to win Miss Universe 2021.

Miss Mexico  (+600)

Andrea Meza has to be at least near the top of any list when trying to predict who will win the 2021 Miss Universe contest.

She is the same age (26) as the most recent winner, and the pageant has recently been handing the crown to “older” contestants.

In a competition that has crowned multiple 18- and 19-year-olds in the past, things have been geared to more sophisticated and seasoned contestants, with five of the last seven coming in at 24 or older.

Meza is extremely likable, smart, and has already left her mark as the winner of Miss Mexico 2018 and Mexicana Universal 2020.

You can get a good look at her in this interview via Telemundo.

If she wins, it’d be the third Miss Universe crown for Mexico, which would tie the country with Sweden for the fifth most in the competition’s history.

Miss Colombia (+650)

Laura Victoria Olascuaga represents another country trying to crack the top-four in terms of Miss Universe wins.

The social communication and journalism grad has been doing pageants since 2018, and understandably secured the Miss Universe Colombia crown in November of 2020.

Olascuaga adds violin, a love for music, and dedication to helping children to her impressive resume.

Miss Philippines (+700)

The numbers game says bettors should pay attention to Rabiya Mateo, who comes in with compelling odds, and secured the Miss Iloilo 2020 title on top of punching her ticket into the Miss Universe 2021 competition.

There has been a Miss Universe crowned out of the Philippines twice in the last five contests and four times overall.

She also gave a solid answer when asked about the importance and relevance of pageants such as Miss Universe in our current social climate.

“As a candidate, I know I am not just a face of Iloilo City, but I am here carrying hope and as a symbol of light in the darkest times. As of the moment, I want to help my community.”

This is the heart of entertainment in general, as Mateo can see that her shining would reflect well on her community, and potentially serve as a positive distraction.

Mateo also added a win in the swimsuit competition during Miss Mexico 2020, so she covers all the bases as a legit contender to win this competition.

Miss South Africa (+750)

Recent history may draw you to bet on Miss South Africa, too.

A winner has come from South Africa twice in the last three pageants and Zozibini Tunzi nabbed the win in the most recent Miss Universe contest in 2019.

South Africa is eyeing the prestigious four wins, which would vault them to a tie for fourth place all time with the Philippines.

Natasha Joubert is the 2020 Miss South Africa runner-up, but was still designated this year’s Miss Universe representative for the country. The model also took home Miss Globe South Africa 2016 honors and has been pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree.

2021 Miss Universe Sleepers

You know where to bet on Miss Universe 2021, you have the latest odds (at the time of this writing), and you have my top favorites to win Miss Universe 2021.

Most likely, that is where you should be looking when you place your bets at the top Miss Universe betting sites. That said, there’s always room for some value, and I think a few women in this competition could surprise some people.

Here is a quick look at some interesting Miss Universe 2021 sleeper picks to consider.

Miss France (+1600)

I didn’t want to just list every single contestant’s odds as 74 people takes up a lot of space. Just barely getting cut out of my Miss Universe 2021 odds breakdown, however, was Miss France.

This is a healthy price for Amandine Petit, who won Miss Normandy 2020, and took home top honors at Miss France 2021.

The 23-year-old model aspires to work in a nursing or retirement home, which documents her selflessness and care for others.

France has just two wins at Miss Universe but took home the crown in 2016. Could Miss France get lucky number three this year? Petit just might have the goods to make it happen, and she sure offers a nice price for bettors.

Miss Venezuela (+1800)

Bettors can seek even more value via Miss Venezuela. Mariangel Villasmil represents her country going into Miss Universe 2021, as the 25-year-old model won Miss Venezuela 2020 en route to the competition.

Villasmil is an eclectic contestant, as she has a background in psychology, but also has a diverse list of talents, including writing and baking.

Get to know her more in this Missosology interview.

Campaigning the fight against HIV, Miss Venezuela has dipped her toes in The Big Apple, and is one of the more versatile talents in this competition.

She also hails from the country that has won the second most crowns (7), and she comes in at a nice +1800 price at most entertainment betting websites.

Miss Vietnam (+1800)

I don’t have any special intel here, other than the fact that Vietnam has never had a winning contestant at Miss Universe and going away from the norm might make sense.

Oh, and renowned online pageant magazine Sash Factor has her pegged as the favorite.

One would think that would boost her betting odds quite a bit, but here Miss Vietnam sits, offering insane value at a cool +1800.

That would be none other than Khanh Van Ngyuyen. The 27-year-old would be making serious history here, as he’d be the first Miss Vietnam to win, as well as the oldest winner in the history of Miss Universe.

The film student and actress stand out due to a slew of wins, as she won Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, and Miss Universe Vietnam 2019.

Ngyuyen also got to the finals in Vietnam Supermodel 2018, giving her quite the impressive overall resume.

Predicting Who Will Win Miss Universe 2021

You stopped at this page because you wanted some Miss Universe 2021 betting advice.

Whether it’s where to bet on the pageant, the latest odds, or just an answer for who will win Miss Universe 2021, I sincerely hope this 2021 Miss Universe betting guide helps you.

There is understandably going to be a lot to take in when you are looking at a contest with 74 entrants. All these women have pretty compelling cases, they’re all beautiful, and every single one offers pretty good value.

I think there is merit in swinging for the fences with some sleepers or longshots, but the top contenders also have the best odds for a reason.

The big question bettors need to ask themselves is if the competition will keep catering to the demographics, they have been, or if they’ll switch things up a bit.

As in, will the dominance of USA and Venezuela live on, will we see the Philippines or South Africa stay hot, or will fans get a breath of fresh air.

This feels like a total toss-up, but the candidate that stands out the most
is Miss Venezuela.

She comes from a country with a strong history in this competition, she has stellar betting odds, she’s still among the better bets, and she honestly has one of the best resumes in this field.

Coming to a Miss Universe 2021 prediction is not easy, and betting on it won’t be any easier.

My suggestion is to do some more research, take your best guess, and/or have fun with it and chase some value at the top entertainment betting sites.

Whether you plan on betting on this year’s competition or not, you can catch Miss Universe 2021 live on FYI at 8 pm ET on Sunday, May 16th.
