The good news for Hoffenheim is that Union Berlin will be quite happy seeing the next two games out without much drama, as it has achieved what many thought would not happen and has managed to stay up in its first-ever season of Bundesliga soccer.

It is an incredible achievement for Die Eisernen, especially considering a lot of people thought its chances of that would take a severe hit without being able to rely on its passionate home support to cheer it on. There is still pride to play for in the last two games, but the mission has been accomplished now, so don’t expect too much of a fightback if Union falls behind here.

It is a race between Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim, and Freiburg to take the last two Europa League spots now, and Hoffenheim is ideally placed to finish in the top seven and win a return to continental soccer next year. Union will battle as ever, but the home win bet is really the only one to go for here.
