HAVU vs. Envy Odds, Prediction, and Pick for March 31st – Flashpoint Season 1
The CS:GO Flashpoint tournament brings us another interesting tie today with Finnish organization HAVU squaring up against North America’s Envy.
The two teams managed to record good victories in their last Flashpoint fixture and will now settle the Upper Bracket Final in Group A of Phase 2.
This HAVU vs. Envy betting preview for Tuesday takes a look at the odds which the best sites for betting on CS:GO have rolled out and provides an analysis of both teams. I then share my betting pick in the end.
HAVU vs. Envy Odds
BetOnline has once again covered multiple markets for this matchup. Below are the current odds:
Total Maps Played
HAVU has the edge according to the bookmakers, but Envy is coming off from an impressive victory and will be desperate to stake another claim. Let’s check out how the teams have been faring recently and then move on to my prediction and betting pick.
HAVU Current Form
HAVU’s last five matchups have come at the Flashpoint tournament. After losing to BIG in the qualifiers, the team improved to brush aside MAD Lions and c0ntact, but lost in Phase 1’s grand final.
However, they did have a good start to Phase 2 as they fended off a valiant effort from Copenhagen Flames.
They have maintained a good kills per round stat for the entire tournament and will once again be relying on offensive tactics to clinch this tie.
ZOREE, sLowi, and doto have been on a roll and a lot depends on them continuing their good form.
Envy Current Form
Envy got their first win at Flashpoint at the third time of asking. After being competitive for much of their opening tie against Gen.G, they crumbled in the decisive moments of round three. This was followed up by a blowout loss against Brazilians MIBR.
With the start of Phase 2, however, they were able to defy the odds and seal a win against Cloud9. It wasn’t always pretty, but Nifty’s tactics worked in the end and their opponents were completely outplayed on Dust II and Train.
Overcoming a team like Cloud9 showed that Envy should not be considered as a total outsider in the tournament and the win will no doubt do wonders for the confidence of the entire roster.
HAVU vs. Envy Prediction and Pick
HAVU definitely has the edge on this one as they are much more organized in their approach. Envy can be a bit chaotic and although their courageous tactics brought them success against Cloud9, they have also failed miserably against other teams.
The organizations will be meeting for the first time in a while, so it’s hard to predict what to expect from this tie.
HAVU has played much more this season and their stats on maps like Inferno and Overpass have been good. But seeing how Envy performed on Dust II and Train gives me pause.
The Finns should have this in the bag, but so far have struggled to turn their advantage into dominant wins. They did defeat Copenhagen Flames 2:0, but both rounds were very close.
I believe the best bet here is to back the Over market. Envy will be pumped up after their unlikely win against Cloud9 and have shown good displays on a couple of maps. If they can get one of those, I’m sure they can nick a round here.
In addition, HAVU has had problems closing out ties and the betting odds are great so that’s my final pick.
