Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves Betting Preview and Prediction

Only the top 3 teams of each group of the ESL One Road to Rio, North America will progress to the next stage, so every match matters. The competition starts today with the first round of Group A where Evil Geniuses is the big favorite.

Two of the other teams that will be looking for a place in the next stage are Gen.G and 100 Thieves. Both sides be confident in their chances and the opening clash between them could be the key to success.

My Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves betting preview includes the latest odds, analysis of both sides, as well as my prediction and betting pick for Wednesday’s encounter.

Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves Odds and Lines

  • Gen.G to win; +160
  • 100 Thieves to win; -208
  • Gen.G (+1.5); -196
  • 100 Thieves (-1.5); +151
  • Over 2.5; +103
  • Under 2.5; -132

I took the Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves odds above from the site of BetOnline, one of my favorite online bookmakers for CS:GO and other esports. The list here includes only the main markets, but there are another 40 options or so available.

Gen.G Esports Team Analysis

The start of 2020 was excellent for Gen.G and the recently-founded team won DreamHack Open Anaheim. The hopes for Flashpoint Season 1 were high too but I believe that the squad took a step back and didn’t fulfill the expectations there.

The performance in the group stage was decent but Gen.G failed to deliver in the playoffs and finished outside of the top 4 eventually. I believe the team might be slightly below its best which is going to be a problem.

100 Thieves Team Analysis

I believe that ESL Pro League Season 11 was a success for 100 Thieves, despite the fact that the team failed to reach the playoffs. The wins against Swole Patrol and Evil Geniuses showcased the talent of this side and the rest of the matches were close too.

I believe this was a step up for 100 Thieves and if the squad can build on it, the future certainly seems bright.

Gen.G vs. 100 Thieves Pick

  • 100 Thieves (-1.5); +151

I’m willing to take some risks with this one and my prediction would be that 100 Thieves will win this one without losing a single map. The team has been improving while Gen.G lost some momentum after the win in Anaheim.

The price of +151 for a clean sweep in favor of 100 Thieves looks like the best betting pick if you ask me, so that’s what I’m going for.

I’m sure that most of you will be looking for more action today, so I recommend you to check the rest of my best esports bets for Wednesday. The list features more CS:GO picks, as well as some Dota 2 and LoL.
