Gambit Youngsters vs. NAVI Junior Betting Preview With Prediction and Pick – Malta Vibes Cup Week 5, July 31st

| July 31, 2020 12:26 am PDT

One of the most interesting groups at the Malta Vibes Cup Week 5 kicks off today with a clash between two of the most prominent youth sides on the European CS:GO scene.

NAVI Junior has been struggling as of late and will be coming into today’s tie against Gambit Youngsters as huge underdogs.

However, the game is played in a Best of 1 format which regularly serves up surprises, so can the Ukrainians take a big scalp here?

This Gambit Youngsters vs. NAVI Junior betting preview for July 31st tries to answer this question by looking at the prices for the main markets. I then provide a comprehensive account of the teams’ recent exploits and wrap things up with a free betting pick.

The prices above are courtesy of BetOnline and as expected, their sportsbook pins Gambit Y. as the firm favorite here.

Let’s take a look at both teams and see what is the best way to approach the betting angle here.

Gambit Youngsters Team Analysis

What can we say about Gambit Youngsters’ recent form?

The team has been dominant in every tournament they are currently contesting and they are firmly on the path of establishing themselves as one of the most consistent CS:GO forces in this tier.

AWP specialist sh1ro has been on an absolute roll with rifler Ax1Le also racking up crazy numbers in the past month.

However, in their latest outing against Tikitakan, another clean sweep, marksman supra did the heavy lifting which once again showcases that this roster has very few weak spots right now.

The big news coming from the Gambit Y. camp is that legend Hobbit has returned to the fold as they attempt to mount a challenge for the Top 20 spots.

We’re yet to see how this will affect the organization but it looks like they are planning for the long haul and the form their players are in right now is providing a solid foundation for that.

I expect another dominant performance today and this could be over before the NAVI boys even blink.

NAVI Junior Team Analysis

The team was doing a decent job in July but an unexpected loss against BIG Academy at the Nine to Five event early in the week has thrown NAVI into a big downward spiral.

Since then, the team has lost against Level Up and selectah in games that this roster should be winning.

Their hopes today lie on B1T, Gospodarov, and Aunkere but against the Gambit steamrolling machine, they will need kapacho and Topa to pitch in with solid performances as well.

They will definitely want to avoid Mirage and Overpass and the Best of 1 format will allow them to ban both but they will still need to be on their toes on any map.

Gambit Youngsters vs. NAVI Junior Prediction and Pick

If you’ve watched Gambit Youngsters lately, you will know that the pick and ban phase doesn’t do much to stifle them.

Ax1Le, sh1ro, and the rest of the squad have lost only one map in their last six outings and any fixture that comes their way is being treated very seriously.

It’s hard to bet against them right now, especially given the fact that NAVI has lost four of their last five matchups.

They can still put up a good fight on Vertigo and Train but Gambit boasts far better tactics and execution and this will be hard to overcome.

The odds for an outright win for the favorites are too short for my taste so I’ll be going with the handicap market here.

There is a big chance that NAVI won’t get to double digits today and the odds of -108 are a great deal given the circumstances.
