FURIA vs. Swole Patrol Odds, Prediction, and Pick for April 2nd – ESL Pro League Season 11 North America

Thursday brings us two mouth-watering clashes in the North America division of the ESL Pro League. They will conclude the fourth round of the group stage and we will have a very good idea of how the playoff brackets might look like.

One of the ties pins Americans Swole Patrol against Brazil’s FURIA. Both teams recorded a loss in their last game and will be looking to get back to winning ways here.

The Brazilians are definitely a team in form. After wrapping up their appearance at the ESL One event with two clean wins, they enjoyed a great start to this season’s Pro League.

Favorites Team Liquid and fellow countrymen MIBR were both beaten. The team did lose to Evil Geniuses yesterday, but the match was a very close one.

In fact, FURIA romped to a 16-8 win on Mirage in the first round. And were only slightly edged on Train and Nuke.

Leading players yuurih and KSERATO had another efficient outing, but the supporting cast could’ve done a better job.

Despite the disappointment, FURIA is the firm favorite here and with good reason.

The US team recorded an impressive 2:0 against Team Liquid, but failed to win their other two ESL Pro League ties so far. They will be extremely disappointed with the loss against 100 Thieves in particular, as they took an early lead but a lackluster performance on Vertigo made the whole team crumble.

Like FURIA, they are also coming into the tie on the back of a defeat from Evil Genuises. However, unlike their Brazilian opponents, Swole Patrol did little to contest the tie.

The Genuises ran out clear winners in a game that once again showcased Swole Patrol’s problems on Vertigo.

Now, they will have to face a wounded team desperate to bounce back and will need a big performance from food, Zellsis, and Cooper-.

The Brazilians should be able to win this one, but it might be tougher than the bookmakers suggest. Swole Patrol will be fighting for their lives and their win against Team Liquid shows they can be a dangerous opponent at this level.

The Americans exhibit big problems on maps like Vertigo and Inferno lately, but their record on Nuke and Train is way better than that of their opponents.

They will need to improve on their last performance, but it’s not like FURIA is completely invincible. Given how the Brazilians latest matchups always go to a third round, I believe this trend will continue.

The Over market presents great value and the head-to-hear record of these teams suggests that Swole Patrol has every chance to nick at least one round here.
