FURIA vs. 100 Thieves Betting Preview With Prediction and Pick – DreamHack Masters, June 11th

It’s time to settle the Upper Bracket Final of the DreamHack Masters’ North American division.

FURIA and 100 Thieves both won their respective groups comfortably and clinched automatic qualification for today’s matchup but one of them will be slipping down to the losers’ bracket today.

The Brazilians bested the Thieves the last time around and are flying towards another Grand Final but will today’s bout be another walk in the part for them?

In this FURIA vs. 100 Thieves betting preview I calculate whether the favorite will dominate again or their Australian opponents have what it takes to rattle the Brazilian killing machine.

The Thieves started their DreamHack Masters campaign in style after dishing out two heavy defeats to both Gen.G and Cloud9.

They did lose their last group fixture against Evil Geniuses but the top spot was already secured.

The Australians were also successful in the American Showmatch against Team Liquid in the 2020 Gamers Without Borders events.

However, they have taken their foot off the gas since then.

The BLAST Premier event saw them lose to EG again and Cloud9 was able to edge them this time. A draw against Triumph was not enough to clinch a playoff berth so the Australians went out early.

Given FURIA’s form, it’s not a perfect time to try and bounce back but if players jks and jkaem show up, the team definitely stands a chance of competing well today.

When the Brazilians are on a roll they are on a roll. Every top CS:GO team can have an off day but this very rarely happens to FURIA right now.

Losing the ESL One: Road to Rio Grand Final and falling to MIBR in the BLAST Premier event has made this group meaner than ever.

It’s a joy to watch how arT, VINI, HEN1, yuurih, and KSCERATO take down opponents with ease on any map and despite the fact I like the Thieves’ style a lot, I just can’t see how they will be able to weather the storm here.

FURIA are in the zone and are one of the best organizations when it comes to punishing the mistakes of their opponents.

The Australians must be near-perfect to survive the barrage and I for one am not convinced they can do it.

The handicap odds for the Brazilians make for a juicy price so this will be my final betting pick.
